- The main improvements and new features revolve around improved communication and initial connection, improved SMS/MMS functionality, performance enhancements, and our first release of our hands free calling. Specifics of the release include:
- Improved Communication and Initial Connection:
- Implemented compression during the initial connection and download of contacts and SMS histories
- Limited the initial connection to the mobile network to ensure a single communication path and improved success rates
- Fixed several crashes reported on Android for memory and communication issues
- Improved SMS / MMS Functionality:
- Eliminated refresh issues when typing a new SMS/MMS message into the console
- Implemented a SMS/MMS guarantee service to ensure that messages are sent from the console and text message window
- Improved overall refresh rate
- Optimized numerous UI/UX aspects within the Moaxis console when switching back and forth between contacts and messages
- Performance Enhancements:
- Lowered the memory usage for the Moaxis java process
- Optimized the console response when reading message histories and switching between contacts and message
- Hands Free Calling:
- Added a Bluetooth setup wizard during the initial installation to ensure hands free calling options are enabled
- Implemented a bluetooth driver for compatible bluetooth stacks on both Mac and Windows
- Added a new Ring Window that shows incoming call details and allows you to answer the call directly
- Added a call button on the contacts screen to allow you place an outgoing call directly from the console contacts
- Added the ability to turn Bluetooth on and off directly from within the console as well as added a Bluetooth icon to show if Bluetooth functionality is currently working
