Metronome Changelog

What's new in Metronome 1.8.3

May 3, 2010
  • Metronome now begins as soon as you tell it to play, rather than waiting for one iteration of the time period specified as the bpm.
  • Fixed a bug where bar counting during acceleration became erratic.
  • Fixed a mysterious bug where the acceleration rate in the Accelerator Panel wouldn't let you enter a negative value to allow you to de-accelerate.
  • Fixed a bug where users on pre-Leopard Mac OS X would see a useless 'Set Volume' button on the Countdown timer's window. Volume control over individual sounds used in Metronome is not supported on pre-Leopard systems.

New in Metronome 1.8.2a (Aug 19, 2009)

  • Beats per minute (bpm) in text fields now behave correctly on non-English systems.
  • If you use English as your computer's language, there is no need to update to version 1.8.2a, but this version will also run fine on your system.

New in Metronome 1.8.2 (Jul 30, 2009)

  • Added a practice timer.
  • The timer runs for the time you specify, then plays a 'ding' sound.
  • The running of the practice timer has no effect on the operation of Metronome.

New in Metronome 1.8.1 Beta (Feb 20, 2009)

  • Fixed an annoying 'feature' where if you used the text field to enter a tempo then pressed the space bar to begin play, the tempo you'd just entered would be wiped out by pressing the space bar. Sorry about that.
  • Added a "Trad. tempos only" checkbox on the main window which makes this function more easily available. Previously this was only able to be accessed while changing the tempo and holding down the Shift key.

New in Metronome 1.8.1 Alpha (May 24, 2008)

  • Fixed a bug where the program ignored the tempo typed into the tempo text field if the Tab key was pressed to end editing.
