  • Improved international/regional keyboard handing
  • During remote control, the client-side user will be able to choose one of three new international keyboard handling options. The setting is stored on the client for each host. To set the keyboard option during remote control, click Options > Keyboard.
  • Use host layout - Select this option to use the keyboard layout of the host. Characters and combinations entered on the client are read by the host according to their physical position on the keyboard. Client keyboard layout is ignored.
  • Use client layout - Select this option to use the keyboard layout of the client. Characters and combinations are sent to the host exactly as entered on the client-side. Host keyboard layout is ignored.
  • Use legacy LogMeIn mapping - Select this option if you are accustomed to LogMeIn's legacy keyboard mapping and prefer not to change at this time.
  • These options are available in the following scenarios:
  • When controlling a PC or Mac from a PC (requires the latest browser plug-in and host version 3000 or above)
  • When controlling a PC or Mac from Ignition for Windows (requires Ignition version 274 or above)
  • Otherwise, only legacy mapping is available (existing functionality before this release).
  • Screen Blanking During Remote Control for Mac
  • Protect your data by blanking the host display during a remote control session. Screen blanking during remote control now works when the host is a Mac. Note that the Mac login screen will remain visible to anyone at the host computer. Screen blanking takes effect after login.
  • To access this feature during a remote control session go to the Remote Control toolbar and click Options > Blank Screen.
  • Improvements and Fixes:
  • The login and sign-up process is no longer available in the installer. Instead, login and sign-up are available in the LogMeIn host software itself.
  • New "Getting Started" information is available in the LogMeIn host software.
  • For Mac, we made fixes to resolve issues with sound output after closing remote control.
  • For Mac, if you switch off LogMeIn via the menu bar and restart your computer, LogMeIn will remain switched off after restart.
  • Various stability improvements and fixes

  • HD Remote Control: High-definition (HD) quality remote control is now also available for Mac. With HD remote control you can seamlessly watch videos and stream music from a host to your client.   • Remote Sound:Remote sound is now also available for Mac. On your client, you can listen to sound that is played on a host computer.
  • Automatic host updates: You can now install and update the host on a Mac without any user interaction. By default, updates are automatically installed to Mac hosts.
  • Block remote keyboard and mouse input: You can now block keystrokes and mouse movement on the remote host during Remote Control.
