  • Fixed: Fix a bug where grids would be misaligned when using bottom/right position settings without column widths specified.
  • Fixed: Allow GuideGuide to be installed in Photoshop CC
  • Sort of bug: Due to a bug in the Photoshop SDK, when guides are rendered, they do not automatically toggle on guide visibility. If view > show > guides is not enabled, you will need to enable it manually.

New in GuideGuide 2.1.2 (Feb 19, 2013)

  • Fix a bug reported by some users where the find midpoint buttons do not work.
  • Fix a bug in non-English versions that caused the tabs at the top of the panel to not appear
  • Fix a bug in the automatic updater that breaks GuideGuide after updating on Windows.
  • Performance improvements when rendering grids.
  • Performance improvements when resizing the panel.
  • It is no longer necessary to restart Photoshop after GuideGuide updates. Simply open and close the panel.

New in GuideGuide 2.1.1 (Feb 11, 2013)

  • Add support for Photoshop UI colors.
  • No support for Retina yet :( Retina plugins are not possible at this time, unfortunatelly.
  • Resize the panel.
  • Import/export your sets. This can be found in the GuideGuide flyout menu
  • Move settings into the flyout menu.
  • Add an opt-in beta channel. This can be found in the new settings menu.
  • Add background updates/self updates. This can be found in the new settings menu. The user will be asked at startup if they would like to enable/disable this.
  • Add settings to specify where the grid will render if it doesn’t fill the whole grid area. In older versions of GuideGuide, the grid, if smaller than the given area, would render to the top left. Now it is possible to position it to the left, center, right, and top, middle, bottom.
  • Ask the user if they would like to submit anonymous data (GuideGuide version, OS version, Photoshop version, update channel) to help GuideGuide’s development.
  • Debug mode:
  • Reset to defaults. This erases all data, settings, and sets.
  • Logging for debugging. When logging is disabled, the log will be saved to the desktop.
  • Removed constraints revolving around columns/rows with widths. It is now possible to:
  • Specify column/row width without a count to have GuideGuide automatically render as many columns/rows of that size as will fit. Columns/rows will be positioned according to your Horizontal/Vertical Grid Position settings.
  • Specify column/row width + a gutter without a count to automatically render as many as will fit. The grid will always be based on gutter count = column count - 1

New in GuideGuide 2.0.4 (Jan 17, 2013)

  • Fix a bug that would cause a “This extension does not contain a valid signature” error when trying to install.
  • Fix a bug that causes GuideGuide to appear as a blank panel.

New in GuideGuide 2.0.3 (Jan 17, 2013)

  • Fix a bug where integer values used while using non-pixel rules would default to pixels.
  • Fixed a bug where sets would render rows incorrectly.

New in GuideGuide 2.0.2 (Jul 9, 2012)

  • Add the ability to specify multiple margins
  • Rewrite the grid logic to improve performance and fix a bug where Photoshop locks up when using certain combinations of mm measurements.
