  • Addresses some bugs that people have reported.
  • Séance v3.0's latest "new feature" is Black Reference Assist. When enabled, Séance will warn you to perform a Black References on your Camera, if certain settings are changed. This feature is intended to make sure that you always get the best looking image, as often as possible.
  • This version also fixes some Preview issues with MacOSX 10.11.6.
  • Fixes have been performed on Preferences, Background Transcoding, amongst others.
  • Documentation has also been updated, as well.

  • Fixed crash with MacoSX 10.11 El Capitan.
  • Support for firmware v53 has been added, ensuring that ProRes and Audio shots do not crash Seance.
  • The UI has been modified to show which shots on the Cinemag are enabled. Disabled shots are now rendered as a grey icon.
  • Networking has been modified to improve IO with the camera hardware.
  • The Background Transcode process now disables power management, so the system will not go to sleep.
  • The GT Hybrid A debayer has been updated to refine the image a bit better.
  • Black Point has been fixed when transcoding to ProRes.
  • GT Hybrid A has also been modified to mitigate a repeating Green Channel pattern with the Flex4K.

  • Fixes Include:
  • Fixed networking issue that would occasionally cause "Download Timestamp" stall.
  • Fixed a crash that would result in typing 0 into the Gamma field.
  • Added a Loop Playback menu item for continuous playback of a cine.
  • Fixed problem where a Cinemag would not be recognised in Séance if the Camera/Cinestation was playing back a Cine.

New in Seance 2.0.1025 (Mar 11, 2015)

  • Séance has a built in renderer for Apple ProRes MOV files. This renderer is enabled in Preferences. To see its status, select “CMD-T” on your keyboard or “Tools-Open Transcode Window” menu item.
  • Transcoding is done in the background, which will require 10Gig users to adjust throttle.
  • You can set a specific folder for ProRes renders.
  • Scaled Apple ProRes can be rendered at 1920x1080 or 1280x720.
  • Changing the FPS works properly with the Cinestation IV.
  • HD-SDI Playback from Phantom Device is now enabled on supported hardware.
  • The assorted Menus and Device settings for HD-SDI video out are now disabled, when a Cinestation IV is in use.
  • Downloads have had the networking fixed, where sometimes Séance would stall on Timestamps.
  • In and Out Points work properly.
  • Exposure Index popup menu has been removed from “Image” Inspector panel.
  • ToneMap panel has been re-build with a new UI. You can now select your Exposure Index as a ToneMap, rather than as a Gamma/Toe value.
  • Timestamp and Range Data is now populated in the header for Scientific uses.
  • Added support for more V-Series cameras with Cinemag support.
