New in GamePad Companion 3.1.1 (Jun 12, 2012)

  • "Enable mice" adds support for HID (Human Interface Device) USB mice. *This feature was added for the purpose of configuring the buttons on some USB mice that do not already have values assigned to their buttons, for example the “Right Click, Left Click, and Center Click” buttons already have values. It is not meant for gaming mice, and will not override the mouse functions of any button that has a pre-configured value. This is meant for the average user, with a mouse that has 2 or 3 extra buttons and wishes to configure those buttons for functionality.
  • This update has fixed 2 bugs, the first was the “Mouse Down” function which was causing the mouse cursor to move up the screen rather then down the screen. The second was to improve the tracking speed, and ability to use the mouse cursor while using a D-pad (like the D-pad on the PS3 gamepad).
  • Adds linguistic support so that GamePad Companion can be used with both the Italian, and Spanish languages.
  • Minor changes to the UI (User Interface) by moving the location of "Steam Mode" and adding the "Enable Mice" check boxes to the "Options..." menu.

New in GamePad Companion 3.1 (Jun 15, 2011)

  • Significantly improves mouse movement to provide smoother gameplay.
  • Adds new "Steady Aim" and "Steam Mode" settings to better customize mouse movement for certain games.
  • Fixes bad crasher that was occurring with a few generic gamepads.
  • "Mouse Acceleration" was removed from the configuration options. With the improvements to the mouse we feel this is no longer a useful feature.
