FileGoBack Changelog

What's new in FileGoBack 1.2.1

Dec 2, 2014
  • The FileGoBack Service now works in OS X 10.10 from Finder as well as Path Finder.
  • Added keys needed by Check for Update (Sparkle Updater).
  • When multiple files are sent from Finder or Path Finder to the FileGoBack Service (Services contextual menu), all new FileGoBack browser windows are now positioned in front of any Finder or Path Finder windows.

New in FileGoBack 1.2 (Dec 2, 2014)

  • Added a checkbox in Restore to navigation dialog to Reveal in Finder after restoring (or Reveal in Path Finder if Cocoatech’s Path Finder app is installed).
  • The button in the File > New Go Back navigation panel now is now titled Drill into instead of Go Back when a directory is selected, correctly stating what is going to happen.
  • Code signature updated to pass the Gatekeeper in OS X 10.10.
  • Rebuilt with Apple’s latest Developer Tools (Xcode 6.1, OS X 10.10 SDK).

New in FileGoBack 1.1.1 Build 102 (Jun 12, 2014)

  • When user chooses to restore a file from a Time Machine™ backup, the Save dialog now reliably opens to the same folder where the existing file is.
  • Now signed with our Developer ID, so that new users can launch it in Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
  • Fixed a bug which could (but probably never did) cause a crash if an error, such as the Time Machine backup disk being unavailable, occurred.
  • When an error such as the Time Machine backup disk being unavailable, occurs, the empty GoBack window now goes away automatically after the user is alerted.
  • Fixed a bug which causes FileGoBack to not find any old versions of any files after user migrates to a new Macintosh user account, keeping the existing FileGoBack preferences, in some weird cases. One such case is if user employs for Time Machine backup on the new Mac the same hard disk as was used on the old Mac, but a different partition.
