  • Changes:
  • See the important notice below before updating to version 3.0 if you print individual stamps using Endicia for Mac. If you only use Endicia for Mac to print postage associated with an address, such as shipping labels or directly onto envelopes, you can update at your convenience.
  • Support for upcoming improvements to your Endicia account. While functionality should be identical to previous versions of Endicia for Mac, there have been many changes under the hood, please let us know if you experience any issues.
  • At some point after the update, the shipping label designs will change slightly to reflect new standards. After that change, custom fonts and colors won’t be able to be set on shipping labels. Return address logos will continue to be supported.
  • Important Notice for users of DYMO Stamps rolls and Printable Postage sheets:
  • Endicia discontinued support for DYMO Stamps rolls and sheets in 2019.
  • After the required August 25, 2020 software update to version 3.0 or later, Endicia for Mac will be unable to print on DYMO Stamps rolls and sheets. We recommend that you use any remaining DYMO Stamps rolls and Printable Postage sheets as soon as possible.
  • To print individual stamps with Endicia for Mac after August 25, 2020, you must print onto NetStamps rolls, which are available for purchase here.
  • Prior to updating your Endicia for Mac software, on or before August 25, 2020, please note the following:
  • Ensure you have used your existing DYMO Stamps, and that you have NetStamps rolls on hand.
  • If you have multiple Endicia for Mac workstations, they must all be updated at the same time.
  • If you need to print on NetStamps sheets, you must do so using the Endicia Online portal, rather than the Endicia for Mac software.

  • Changes and Bug Fixes:
  • Enhanced support for the USPS Automated Package Verification System.
  • When a manual weigh of a package exceeds the weight limit for the selected mail class (say you weigh a 2 pound package and First-Class is selected), the error dialog now lets you choose the class to use instead such as Priority Mail or Media Mail.
  • Added support for an OverweightMailClass tag for XML/URL requests. This is useful in the case where you send in FIRST as the mail class but the package is over 16 ounces. Instead of an error, now you can specify the class to use instead.
  • International one-ply landscape labels on plain paper are now centered within the half sheet.
  • Fixed an issue with creating international large flat envelopes.
  • Corrected an issue where insurance prices for First-Class International Package Service were quoted as more expensive than would actually be charged.

  • You can now hide the file extension when saving a label to PDF.
  • Added new capitalization preference for international addresses. The default is set to Mixed Case.
  • Added automatic ability to verify city/street/ZIP code only for addresses that don’t fully verify with the USPS. These labels can now be printed.
  • Removed Features:
  • Removed support for DYMO 99019 label entirely. You’ll need to switch to a different DYMO label type such as 30387.
  • Removed the option to manually pick a particular customs form, as the software now automatically picks the correct one.
  • Changes and Improvements:
  • Corrects an issue where the application says your passphrase is incorrect instead of prompting you that it must be changed.
  • Ensures that the tab/comma import options are shown when importing a text file of addresses.
  • When printing a Priority Mail Express mailing record, the barcode will now scan correctly at post offices. The package labels have always scanned correctly, this is simply the receipt that can be printed from the mailing log.
  • Fixed a bug where the software always defaulted to First-Class Mail instead of the mail class that was last printed.

  • Prices are being increased for 1/2/3oz First-Class Mail Parcels.
  • Note the new rates will be in effect even if you don’t download this update.
  • Changes and Bug Fixes:
  • There is an update to the Mixed Case option for domestic addresses to be more case-preserving of original text. We are continuing to work on this so if you have any feedback on addresses that aren’t getting the proper case, please let us know.
  • International addresses are now left in their entered case to save on character width and fit more characters on the label. Only the country name will be forced to uppercase.
  • Correct display issues with letter postage in Printable Postage roll mode.
  • The ZIP+4 is now retained if entered and address validation isn’t able to find a more specific entry.
  • Error messages have been improved for account errors.

  • We are phasing out support for DYMO 99019 labels, at this time, you can use them to print address labels but you cannot print postage on them. We will fully remove support for this label type in a future release.

New in Endicia 2.16 Build 706 (Dec 29, 2015)

  • New Features:
  • Added the ability to set a different induction ZIP code per return address. Each return address defaults to the account ZIP, or you can set one explicitly. If the sending ZIP doesn’t match the return ZIP, it will show up in light grey beneath the from address on the main screen. This ZIP is saved with the return address.
  • A new “Estimate Transit Time” button is available on the main window to allow for one-off transit time lookups.
  • There is now an optional warning if you try to ship to the same address you just shipped to.
  • You can now set a preference to automatically copy the last tracking number as a full URL instead of just the number.
  • Removed Features:
  • Due to various internal changes, the follow features have been removed:
  • Postage Corrections. You will now need to refund a mis-priced label and print a new one. Alternatively, you can use the “Make Your Own” feature of Printable Postage to print stamps for any amount.
  • Postage-less labels with tracking barcodes. If you turn off postage, we now just print address labels without any barcode of any kind.
  • M-bags. You will need to contact your local post office for solutions to print M-bag postage.
  • Changes and Improvements:
  • Mailing log operations are greatly sped up, including searching, adding new shipments, importing and exporting. We will continue to focus on improvements to the speed and operation of the mailing log.
  • Hold for Pickup shipments will no longer error out with cryptic error codes.
  • Many bug fixes and minor improvements.

  • Changes and Bug Fixes:
  • There is no longer an error printing Certified Mail. As an added bonus, Ceritified Mail now prints with the barcode on large envelopes and packages and you only need to attach a generic Label 3800-N to the item. This functionality will be available for letters in a future release.
  • Fixed an issue where the Printable Postage screen was blurry or had jagged text.
  • If you switch print preview on then off again, the PDF output options will work correctly.
  • A few other cosmetic issues have been corrected.
  • Looking to print on pre-addressed return envelopes?
  • This new release now requires complete return address for every postage print. However, if you are printing to envelopes or postcards that already have an address printed on them, you can turn off return address printing in the Postcards & Envelopes tab of the Printer Setup panel.

  • There is now built-in PDF generation for labels, which is handy especially for reply postage. You can save or email a PDF label right from within Endicia for Mac on the print preview panel or the main window if print preview is turned off.
  • The Hold for Pickup service is now available.
  • Prices for each mail class are now shown in the in mail class pop-up menu for easy comparison.
  • Pasting tabular data (from a spreadsheet program like Numbers for example) into the address field will now parse the address correctly.
  • The Mailing Log is now searchable by barcode number.
  • You can now specify margins both as fractions and as negative numbers.

  • Endicia for Mac no longer will operate on Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. If your computer is currently running 10.4, you'll need to upgrade to a newer version of Mac OS X to continue to print postage.   • We now support all customs forms on 4x6 labels to be printed on a DYMO 4XL or Zebra printer. This allows all shipments of all mail classes that need customs forms to be printed on thermal printers. This includes shipments to military mail destinations as well. This means you can finally operate Endicia for Mac without a plain paper printer.
  • Printable Postage transactions can now be saved to your Mailing Log with a reference number for easy cross-referencing. To enable this, you can turn it on in the General Preferences and a new field on the Printable Postage screen will appear. The reference ID will be available in the local Mailing Log and on your Web-based reports.
  • Other Changes:
  • There are new optional fields for adding the HS (Harmonized System) Tarriff number to your customs form items.
  • You can now add up to 5 customs items per shipment.
  • There is an attempt to normalize non-Latin addresses, so if given an address in a non-Latin alphabet, we will transform it into Latin characters.
  • To get the best performance out of your Zebra printer, we recommend setting it up as a native printer on your Mac. This lets the printer spool in the background.

  • The standard Flat Rate Box has been rebranded the Medium Flat Rate Box by the USPS. You will now see it referred to as the Medium Flat Rate Box throughout the software. The rates and eligibility have not changed.
  • The application is now smarter about the amount of postage you can purchase, you will only be provided with options that will successfully go through, and not put you over limit.
  • The DYMO LabelWriter 4XL with 4"x6" label stock is now fully supported for shipping labels.
  • There is support for more Zebra printers connected via USB, specifically the S4M, the ZP500 and the ZP450. They should just work when attached.
  • The Intelligent Mail barcode is now used on Postcard-sized mailpieces.
  • The backgrounds of shipping labels should no longer be fuzzy or blurry.
  • Printable Postage sheets now override your print settings to print to Letter-sized pieces of paper.
  • Integrated customs forms for First-Class Mail International and Priority Mail International (Small Flat Rate Box and Flat Rate Envelope) now correctly use the print settings for your domestic shipping labels. This way you can have a setting for label stock and a setting for the bigger customs forms and not need to switch between them manually.
  • Clicking the Recover button in Printable Postage will no longer result in an error.
