Dapplegrey Changelog

What's new in Dapplegrey 7.4.1

Jan 9, 2020
  • Noticed an entry game title in DOS games list, no drives and game exe settings, so 7.4.1 now checks for empty titles while saving and reading the games list, plus removing such entries.

New in Dapplegrey 7.4.0 (Jan 9, 2020)

  • In the Graphics Options window, missing SDL2 options has been added now: vsync and renderer.

New in Dapplegrey 7.0.1 (Oct 23, 2018)

  • With Dapplegrey 7.0.1, a long standing programming mistake has been fixed: Setting EMS to false is working now. The Toolbox previously included may come back one day, but for now shipping 64 bit versions was a hurry.

New in Dapplegrey 7.0 (Oct 23, 2018)

  • Being 64-Bit now, Dapplegrey 7.0 requires Mac OS X 10.9 minimum. Optimized for Retina graphical devices.
  • Sound Blaster window reduces number of toolbar items a bit, combining Sound Blaster 1 with 1 Pro and 2 with 2 Pro, using a checkbox to determine if Pro is the one to be used or not.
  • When using a DOSBox SVN 2018 version (or an upcoming one), the setting oplemu=mame is available now.
  • The following joystick options found in 2018 SVN are available: Circularinput and deadzone, including a redesigned Joystick sheet window when using current DOSBox SVN versions.
  • Attempting to remove a game entry now reveals the game title to be rmvd. When editing AUTOEXEC.BAT lines, the game title the lines belongs to will be mentioned now.
  • Dropped Hard Disk Drive and Floppy images with suffix .dmg will be recognized now. DOSBox Love is supported now, including its glide settings.
  • IMGMakeGUI window has been revisited, to match hard disk drive image size given by DOSBox-X. This window can be reached by the DOSBox menu item, when a DOSBox port is used that support the ImgMake command (MB5, MB6, DOSBox-X).
  • Some of the DOSBox-X additions are available as well: Larger RAM allocation, Serialmouse in Networking, scale up to 4x and 5x, additional machine types, some additional CPU types.
  • Display toolbar adds Glide settings, which are available for DOSBox Love and DOSBox Glide Wrapper only.
  • Use of Language Files is an option in the Preferences window now as well. Before, there was just a path to Language File given. Now, when starting DOSBox, a Language File will only be used if this option (located in the main Preferences window) is activated. If the use of Language Files is activated in the main Preferences window, you can still de-activate it in the particular game profiles. Remember, when DOSBox quits unexpectedly after starting up, an incompatible Language File may be the reason of.
  • Adds a new menu item in the DOSBox menu to execute the DOSBox internal Help command.
  • When using a DOSBox version prior to 0.73, the CPU type window now gives a reminder that CPU type is not supported with.

New in Dapplegrey 6.4.7 (Sep 3, 2018)

  • Adding games using its PC executable file:
  • Adding a game by choosing a PC executable file works again. Technically, since no PC exe files were selectable in this dialog, the file filter has been deactivated.

New in Dapplegrey 6.4.6 (Sep 1, 2018)

  • DOSBox version 0.74-2 will be recognized now. Some features to be found in current SVN versions are not available in this stable build, so they're not offered by Dapplegrey when using this special version.
  • In SVN versions, setting the DOSBox internal date now works correctly (see AUTOEXEC.BAT editing window).

New in Dapplegrey 6.4.5 (Jul 30, 2018)

  • Scaler=none should work again.
  • Reading the settings for DOS applications included in the Dapplegrey Toolbox should work correctly now.

New in Dapplegrey 6.4.4 (May 10, 2018)

  • Another programming mistake that can not wait until the next main release has been fixed: Path to both captures and mapperfile has been fixed. Luckily this is a programming mistake that can be fixed by calculated character strings, so the user does not need to do anything.

New in Dapplegrey 6.4.3 (May 7, 2018)

  • In AUTOEXEC editing window, the date area has been revisited. The date listbox text size is changeable as well now.
  • An issue that may cause a crash at quit has been fixed.

  • Bug fix: machine types vgaonly and svga_s3 will be set correctly now. Still runs on OS X 10.7.
  • DOSBox OS X built for OS X now 64-bit:
  • A thread found in the VOGONS DOSBox forum informs that the SVN version from now on also contains 64 bit as well. This feature requires Mac OS X 10.10 or higher (known as macOS). Me, I am still active with porting the graphics files used in the Classics For X projects to Retina-capability, and current versions of the compiler used are able to compile for 64 bit as well. A short test of mine confirms that the current version of Dapplegrey runs fine with this new DOSBox SVN port.

New in Dapplegrey 6.3.1 (Oct 21, 2017)

  • When dragging a disk/CD image or a folder onto Dapplegrey to let it mounted in DOSBox, the appearing window lo longer displays a text size slider if not necessary.

New in Dapplegrey 6.2 (Jan 3, 2017)

  • According to the Apple Human Interface Guidelines, the Preferences window now remembers the last selected toolbar item.

New in Dapplegrey 6.1 (Aug 16, 2016)

  • New Codesign using OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and AppWrapper 3.6.1, hopefully a little bit better compatibility with coming macOS versions.
  • Starting with Dapplegrey 6.0, it's required to copy the included Toolbox to the Dapplegrey's own Application Support folder to use its content, for example to run the games included. To copy the content, use the appropriate menu item in Dapplegrey's File menu.
  • Now, starting with Dapplegrey 6.1, there is also a small downloadable file "Dapplegrey_Small.zip", which does not contain the Toolbox, other than the larger "Dapplegrey.zip" file, which includes the Toolbox content.
  • As a hint, Dapplegrey extracted from the smaller file runs fine Stand-alone as well, without having to download the larger file first.
  • A recent Xojo 2016 version has been used to compile this version

  • Adds the ability to restore a Games List using Time Machine
  • When mounting a CD ROM by Drag and Drop, Dapplegrey offers the option to let list the content of the CD ROM at the start of DOSBox like before. From now on, the content will be listed from within Dapplegrey as well.
  • When using the Dapplegrey Windows 3.1 setting window, the human readable files are now listed below a separate Toolbar item.
  • If you've opened the Drive C: Setting window, and have set a folder to be mounted as drive C:, a list of executable files and readable files will be listed in Popup menus like before. For text files, an "Open with TextEdit" option has been added now.
  • Removed the "DOSBox" Toolbar item, because it let Dapplegrey crash on recent OS X versions. The menu items listed in this toolbar item are still available from within the Top-most menu bar on the screen.
  • Includes all the bugfixes made in version 5.4.x during the last few months. At the left side of the Dapplegrey window, the Dapplegrey internal toolbox differs between games and applications now.
  • When the Dapplegrey internal toolbox is not available (or just not accessible from within DOSBox), the toolbox listing itself is deactivated now, instead of deactivating the whole area at the left side of the Dapplegrey window.
  • Before using a game or application included in the Dapplegrey internal toolbox, you need to copy it (the whole Dapplegrey internal toolbox) to the Dapplegrey-own "Application Support" folder first. In the "Games included" and "Dapplegrey Toolbox" areas, there is a button to get the files copied. Otherwise, running an DOS application located in the Dapplegrey Toolbox would DOSBox cause to show the bouncing beach ball.

New in Dapplegrey 4.2.5 (May 26, 2014)

  • Also changed in the Add Games window, the default setting of browsing to a game by folder or by DOS application is now set to folder. This has been changed because of Mavericks which needs a while to display the content of a folder. Now, just browse to the folder and you're done. After adding a game, set the DOS application you want to run the game with, by using the "FixedDrive C:" settings dialog

New in Dapplegrey 4.0 (Oct 22, 2013)

  • Press Cmd-S to save a copy of your games list or Cmd-Option-O to restore it. On developer's Macintosh, sometimes the user's games list is empty on Dapplegrey's start, even if a number of entries existed before. When a copy of the games list exists, Dapplegrey tries to restore it automatically, when this happens again. If you're running DOSBox 0.70 or a newer version, set up Windows 3.1 to run from inside Dapplegrey, by pressing the keyboard shortcut Cmd-Option-3. From there, run the Windows 3.1 Installation or run Windows itself, after it has been installed. This operates independent of the existing games listing, so if you want to install games from within Windows 3.1, run Windows 3.1 first from within this Dapplegrey window. From games listing view, the only listing supporting booting up Windows 3.1 directly to run a game is the "Games Included" listing. Dapplegrey 4.0 adds some freeware and shareware Windows 3.1 games to this listing. Add a drive C: containing a Windows 3.1 installation to them and run the games by double-clicking the entry in the list.New Toolbar item graphics sized wi(d)th 32x32 pixels to prepare Dapplegrey for import into Xojo for next major version, instead of RealStudio 2011r3 used for Dapplegrey 4 yet.Memory Size and Loadfix sheet window now mention current selected game entry name, instead of "DOSBox" in common.
  • The option to specify a base Drive C: path has been moved from Preferences window to separate window, accessible in the File menu. To be extended in the future.Last major version to support Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5 and PowerPC machines.

New in Dapplegrey 3.6 (Aug 12, 2013)

  • DOSBoxWrapper application recognized as DOSBox source. When running plain DOSBox or game not listed in Dapplegrey, if machinetype is set to standard type, it will not be sent to DOSBox

New in Dapplegrey 3.5.1 (Aug 5, 2013)

  • DOSBox SVN versions created by Dominus and Emendelson will be recognized correctly, if choosen though the Preferences Dialog of Dapplegrey.

New in Dapplegrey 3.5 (Jun 10, 2013)

  • The Drives section allows to mount multiple CD-ROM images per drive letter again. This is now managed by using a listbox with checkboxes in the list of files, where you just tick the images you want to get mounted in DOSBox. DOSBox supports up to 5 CD images per drive-letter. The re-written Drives window also lists floppy images in a listbox with checkboxes. Remember, multiple floppy images are currently only supported in current SVN versions, not in the plain 0.74 or 0.74-1 version of DOSBox (version 0.74-1 is available for Mac OS X only and comes with the fullscreen fix introduced in Lion, and is available in the official DOSBox downloads section) . This is the main feature of release 3.5 of Dapplegrey.
  • Drag and Drop of images: The mount type (Floppy, CD-ROM, Hard Disk Drive) has been set automatically before. Some disk images may not be recognized correctly as floppy or hard disk drive, so you can select this mount type now manually.
  • Also when Dragging and Dropping files and folders onto Dapplegrey, the pathes to the files and folders will be shortened to "~/...", if it is located within the User's folder. The Tilde sign "~/" is the usual abbreviation for your users folder, so if you want to use a file stored within, you don't have to enter the full path to the file as "/Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/Yourname/...", just start it with "~/" instead of.
  • In the Mixer section, the maximum offered loudness amount can be customized now.
  • When Dapplegrey's main window is minimized, and a Sheet window is attempted to be opened, the main window should be maximized now. This is required to display the Sheet window in request.
  • Dapplegrey now supports to mount your Finder's Ramdisk in DOSBox, in condition its name contains "Ram" and "Dis" (as abbreviation of "Disk") . If you've set more than one Ramdisk, only one of them will be used. Mounting the Ramdisk is supported in running a plain DOSBox as well as in game profiles. For game profiles, a menu item "Set Finder's Ramdisk" will be available in the 'Drives' toolbar item of Dapplegrey.
  • When running a plain DOSBox session, you can set a frameskip rate now.
  • The author of Dapplegrey managed to use Boxer as DOSBox source again. Since Boxer changed its internal behaviour in Version 1.0, Boxer no longer worked well in order to use it as DOSBox source as before. Looked for a way to still use it's recent versions, now the author of Dapplegrey detected there was a space char (" ") too much in source code, which prevents it from working. So, if you've also installed Boxer as DOSBox emulator on your system, you can use it as DOSBox source again, but there is a very important limitation, compared to pre-1.0 Boxer versions: Your Dapplegrey settings will *not* be send to Boxer, because Boxer doesn't eat them, and there is no chance to get this working.
  • This is the first time Dapplegrey's supporting SVN properties, introduced after the release of DOSBox 0.74:
  • EMS adds emsboard and emm386 to its options
  • Midiconfig adds a Delaysysex ("when using a Roland MT-32 rev. 0 as midi output device, some games may require a delay in order to prevent 'buffer overflow' issues. In that case, tick 'delaysysex'" - taken from the config file written by SVN version)Multiple Floppy images as written in the first section of this news.
  • Set a different date (accessible using the "DOSBox" toolbar item, "Edit AUTOEXEC.BAT" -> "Date" toolbar item (if visible) .
  • Set a different System Files letter, aside of the well-known Z: drive. In Dapplegrey accessible by using the toolbar item "DOSBox" ->"Edit AUTOEXEC.BAT" -> "Path settings". See this VOGOS thread: Remap "Z" to different letter - usually, there is no reason to do so.
  • Quoted from Windows 3.1, DosBox, and a game that requires a disk: "Also, there is a fix in SVN source for an issue with some PC/Mac hybrid discs that can cause QT movies not to play, so if updating QT doesn't help then you might try an SVN build of DOSBox." - this one doesn't require a front-end addition.
  • Remember, an upcoming DOSBox version, in case it will be released, may not implement some of the features that can be found in SVN development version, which is still Universal Binary (may run on a PowerPC G4 as well) and can be found here: DOSBox Wiki/SVN Builds - It's very recommended to run this newer version.
  • Dapplegrey 3.5 still runs on Mac OS X 10.4 equipped with a PowerPC G4 processor type.

New in Dapplegrey 3.4.5 (May 7, 2013)

  • If the subfolder of the game folder is attempted to be mounted as drive C:, the mount point of drive C: will be set correct again. This sub routine has been rewritten completely.
  • This problem has been described in the previous Feed entry "Dapplegrey Blog posting".If the user added games to the "User's Games" list before (which is the case, usually), the category "User's Games" will be displayed at start now. Previously, "Games Included" has been displayed.Drag and Drop of DOS applications now uses the keyboardlayout set in the Dapplegrey Preferences Window, before the game will be executed (previously, the keyboardlayout has been set after executing the game, unfortunately).

New in Dapplegrey 3.4.4 (Apr 8, 2013)

  • Advanced CPU settings has been fixed. Previously, unfortunately the sub routine to Reset the Values given by the user restored the values every time the 'Advanced CPU settings' window has been opened. Thus, the ability to reset the values of 'Advanced CPU settings' has been removed. If resetting the CPU core, the correct window area will be displayed now. Previously, only the toolbar item has been resetted, but not the shown window content itself. The Dapplegrey Toolbox entries now allows to set a custom CPU cycles value as well.

New in Dapplegrey 3.4.3 (Mar 28, 2013)

  • When attempt to mount a folder as CD-ROM drive D: itself, this is working again.
  • The Readme files listing near drive C: setting looks also for files with the suffixes ".asc" and ".new" now.

New in Dapplegrey 3.4.2 (Feb 28, 2013)

New in Dapplegrey 3.4.1 (Feb 25, 2013)

  • Also, the Imgmount feature checks for number of CDs before filling the list now (this will prevent a crash if Dapplegrey 3.4.1 will be accidentally fed with a newer list of your DOS games, when Dapplegrey with an updated CD-ROM handling will be published.

  • When selecting DBGL as DOSBox source, Dapplegrey should no longer display a NilObject message box.

New in Dapplegrey 3.3 (Jan 14, 2013)

  • Mounting CD images set by folder should work now. Due to unknown reasons, the Uniform Type Identifier used in Dapplegrey ("public.iso-image") still doesn't work correctly to recognize such images. Required to re-design the source code by using appropriate file extensions, and so it only recognizes CD image file extensions Dapplegrey is aware of so far.Still doesn't filter this file type when adding a single cdr image, when displaying the file selection dialog box (using this Dialog window, all files are selectable, even if their file type is not a CD image) .When an user of Dapplegrey added a folder to the CD Drive listing before (to let DOSBox mount all CD images located within), may require the user to re-select this folder again to fix things.
  • Near future plans currently working on: Re-animating the ability to add multiple CD images separately.Other minor fixings has been done as well.

New in Dapplegrey 3.2 (Dec 27, 2012)

  • Floppy/CD images listing can be displayed with different font sizes now, like other lists in the application.

New in Dapplegrey 3.0.1 (Sep 10, 2012)

  • Version 3.0 was not ready to delete files created by version 2.36 and earlier, but asked the user whether to do so. Since the developer of Dapplegrey switched to Mac OS X 10.8 Mt. Lion now, he confirmed that the files created by 3.x are written to hard disk drive successfully, Dapplegrey 3.0.1 will delete older files automatically now.
  • For the Readme files to be listed in the "Drives/Hard Disk C:" section, the obscure file extension ".rst" and ".dme" has been added. File names like "Readmefi.rst" and some "*rea.dme" files will also be listed now.
  • Mounting issues in the areas 'Games Included' and 'Dapplegrey Toolbox' entries has been fixed. If they has not been mounted correctly before, they should be mounted correctly now.
  • One of the icon pictures used as application icon was blurred before.

New in Dapplegrey 3.0 (Aug 13, 2012)

  • No/New Graphical User Interface.
  • Multiple CD-ROM drives now (read 'Minus' as well).
  • Re-designed 'Add Games' dialog.
  • Remaining OPL settings has been added.
  • Maximum offered CPU amount is customizable per game now.
  • Set Fullscreen resolution to the value 0x0 now (DOSBox will use current Mac display setting). Still available, the previous option to set the Fullscreen resolution to current Mac display setting by using its native value.
  • Previous Toolbox entries has been moved to 'Games Included' and 'Dapplegrey Toolbox' respectively: Plus, if you call the 'Toolbox' menu item available in the 'Drives' toolbar item, Readme files found in the game folders will be listed now.
  • User-added games are displayed in a separate "User's games" section now.
  • Disk images added to the drives won't be imported from the games list of earlier Dapplegrey versions properly. So this feature has been disabled. Sorry, you have to re-assign disk image mountings once before running a DOS game again (disk images are mostly used for emulated Floppy & CD-ROM drives).
  • Since there is an un-resolved problem with assigning
  • ultiple number of images to a drive, it is recommended to organize the Floppy & CD images within folders per game, CD images per CD drive letter as well. When attempting to add multiple Floppy & CD-ROM images to a game entry, open the dialog 'Drives', select 'Disk Images'. Then, simply browse to the folder containing the desired disc images. Dapplegrey will let DOSBox mount all the disc images stored in this folder.
  • Besides re-assigning Disk-Images, when Dapplegrey 3.0 finds an older games list created with Dapplegrey 2.x, you may have to check the drive mountings of all game entries again (except for drive C:); this is only required one time. With the new GUI, this is an very easy task, thought. Often this check will not work after the first start of Dapplegrey 3.0, but'll work later.
  • If you're using Mac OS X 10.8 Mt. Lion as Operating system, you may have to hold down the 'Ctrl' key while starting Dapplegrey the very first time.

New in Dapplegrey 2.36 (Apr 23, 2012)

  • When dragging an disk image onto Dapplegrey to get it mounted in DOSBox, often a Window shows up which gives you some options, for example using the -size parameter. Also, you can choose between 'Folder or disk dragged onto Dapplegrey will be mounted only. and 'It will be mounted and its directory will be listed', which tries to list the root directory of that image, when it gets mounted successfully. So, previously, if you switch from 'Folder or disk dragged onto Dapplegrey will be mounted only" to 'It will be mounted and its directory will be listed', sometimes (if not checked) the checkbox "Size parameters" has been activated in previous versions of Dapplegrey, which is obviously wrong.
  • Some text recently introduced in Dapplegrey was still displayed in text font 'System'. It's now 'Geneva', like all the other text used in Dapplegrey (except Tabulator Panel line located in the main window, which is still displayed in text font 'System').

New in Dapplegrey 2.35 (Mar 26, 2012)

  • When mounting images, the boot command has been revised.
  • Also, to support multiple floppy disk images to be booted, now you can add more than one floppy image, rather than one floppy disk image like before. Remember, only *one* floppy disk image is supported by DOSBox to be imgmounted, if you need multiple floppy disk images imgmounted to a drive letter, you'ld need to boot that.
  • In rare cases, if you need/want to select a different Drive C: path (near the 'or' line in the 'Drives' section, the buttons to select a different folder or another disk image (disk image not supported for Toolbar entries) are working again now.
  • Recent DOSBoxSVN application will be recognized now (to get it, find the text string "DOSBox SVN snapshot for OS X (10.4-10.7 ppc/intel)" for example at Director Player Error?

New in Dapplegrey 2.34 (Mar 9, 2012)

  • When mounting CD images, you could set a folder to automatically mount all matching images inside. Broken in 2.33, now working again.

New in Dapplegrey 2.33 (Mar 7, 2012)

  • Mounting images, -fs no longer ignored.
  • Selecting another DOSBox app de-activated while another session is currently running.
  • When switching DOSBox app while a session is open, the 'Kill DOSBox' menu item located in Dapplegrey's "DOSBox" menu no longer would work.
  • Other code optimizations as well.

New in Dapplegrey 2.32.1 (Feb 20, 2012)

  • While Boxer hops in the Dock (Boxer wants to display an err msg), "Kill DOSBox" menu item can not be forwarded to Boxer. Because Boxer 1.0+ no longer can be used as DOSBox source for Dapplegrey, an error message sent from Boxer will be displayed in Dapplegrey now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.31 (Jan 10, 2012)

  • A 'Global Rate' setting in the sound area will be displayed correctly now. On Mac OS X Leopard and newer, you can now remove the path to the key-mapper file using the 'Edit -> Set values to default' menu item. The Tab panel 'Input Devices' must be active to do so.

New in Dapplegrey 2.30 (Dec 12, 2011)

  • Includes re-designed Graphics area, adds a new menu item in Edit menu: "Set values to default", which works in most windows in Leopard and newer (not supported on Tiger). Edit Listenport settings now includes a "Clear entry" button, which sets the value to empty and disables the use of Listenport.

New in Dapplegrey 2.29.3 (Aug 30, 2011)

  • Different setup drive letters are working again.
  • Also, when a game includes a Setup application only, the base drive C: folder set in the Dapplegrey prefs will be included as drive C: to the game entry. "Mount this folder as drive C:" is displaying the correct name of this drive C: folder now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.29.2 (Aug 16, 2011)

  • Keyboardlayout is working again.
  • Sometimes it goes back to US layout, if another layout has been selected.
  • In the Preferences window, you can now *remove* the language file from the settings, too.
  • Please notice the updated 'Dapplegrey Troubleshooting' PDF file about using language files with DOSBox.

New in Dapplegrey 2.29.1 (Aug 8, 2011)

  • In the Tab Panel 'Drives', if a drive is empty, the Eject button will be disabled now. Also some other fixes.

New in Dapplegrey 2.29 (Aug 1, 2011)

  • On Mac OS X Lion, Dapplegrey checks whether you've set one or more entries to fullscreen, and if Dapplegrey found some entries set to fullscreen, it'll ask you, if you want to remove this setting for all the entries.DOS game folders may include a FILE_ID.DIZ file, which includes a game description. When adding a new game, and such a file will be detected in the game's folder, you can add the description of this file to Dapplegrey's game description. For existing entries, please take a look at Game Info window to edit game description regarding FILE_ID.DIZ files. In Preferences window, language files will be recognized now, if their file extension is ".lang".When a base drive C: has been set, it will be recognized again.

New in Dapplegrey 2.28 (Jul 21, 2011)

  • Drag & Drop of images onto Dapplegrey has been extended and fixed. Dragging a CD-ROM image will allow to mount the given base drive C: path, too (see preferences to set the base drive C: path)
  • DOSBox will also be found in user's applications folder now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.27 (Jul 18, 2011)

  • Listing CD/DVD drives is working again ("DOSBox" menu - > "Count CD drives").
  • Paths to DOSBox application will be shortened now: Using DOSBox versions located in your Applications folder will work as "/Applications/DOSBox.app" as UNIX path, too.

New in Dapplegrey 2.26 (Jul 14, 2011)

  • When the DOS games listing is attempted to change (Adding a game, removing a game, opening the Floating Games List window), the games listing no longer changes to its first entry (may not work for the very first time during a Dapplegrey session). When deleting a game entry, another game entry near the (now) deleted entry should be marked now, and when adding a new game, the new game entry should get marked automatically.
  • When running plain DOSBox (w/o game, using the menu "DOSBox -> Run plain DOSBox": If mounting of drive C: is checked, and this folder is located in your documents folder, mounting of drive C: works now. For example, "~/Documents/DOSGames/".
  • When Drag & Drop of floppy disk image or CD-ROM image files, you can also include a drive C: folder now, if you've set this drive C: folder in the Preferences.
  • Hopefully the wrong mounting will be fixed, when a folder in the mount line doesn't fit into the 8.3 DOS naming rules.
  • Readme files in html and Microsoft Write format will be also listed in the Readme Popup menu now.
  • Some other fixes.

New in Dapplegrey 2.25.1 (Jun 14, 2011)

  • 'Mount this folder as drive C:' in TabPanel 'Drives' no longer lists the top-most folder twice.
  • Will no longer crash, if you add a game located on the root of a drive (this happens mostly, if you store your DOS games on an hard disk drive image, for example).
  • When you need to select a game executive file stored in a subfolder of drive C: (after installing it, if it installs in a subfolder of drive C:), by clicking 'Select from subfolder...' near 'Run DOS game with:' in the tabpanel 'Game Files', the list given in the upcoming Selection Dialog Box should no longer be empty.

New in Dapplegrey 2.25 (Jun 14, 2011)

  • In the 'Game Files' area, readme files shipped with the DOS games are now listed by using a Popup menu. The list of readme files will be created at runtime, therefore is no need to add them manually. For now, files with the extensions .doc, .txt, .1st, .pdf, .hlp, .frm, .nfo and .me will be listed. PDF files will be forwarded to Finder's default application, mostly 'Preview' or 'Acrobat Reader', other text files will be opened within Dapplegrey directly. If you happen to meet further file extensions for Readme files shipped with DOS games, please let the author of Dapplegrey know.
  • New buttons in 'Game Files' area: An 'Open in Finder' button near 'Path to game exe', which enables you to show the containing folder in the Mac OS X Finder. Near 'Run DOS game with', which is the new name for 'DOS executable file', you'll find a Reload button now. If, for some reasons, the number of DOS executable files will change during the Dapplegrey session, this new Reload button enables you to see new DOS executable files immediately now.
  • 'Browse...' button near 'Path to setup exe' no longer will cause a crash.
  • Hope to fix an unexpected quit of Dapplegrey, if adding a new game is driven by a given install application.
  • Some other bugfixes as well.
  • Menu item to save a configuration file manually has been removed.

New in Dapplegrey 2.24 (May 7, 2011)

  • If other drive letters than C: of an game entry got a folder assigned, a programming mistake mixed through the drives: Other drives than C: suddenly got assigned the same Mac folder as the C: drive. If you correct that in Version 2.24 of Dapplegrey, the correction will remaining correct now.
  • Assigning a folder to an emulated drive letter the Label of this drive will offer a Label name matching DOS conventions now (no space char, uppercase only).
  • If DBGL has been selected as DOSBox source, the keymapper file name now will be set with the version number of DOSBox included. Its name no longer will be 'mapper-0.0.map', but 'mapper-0.74.map' now, for example.
  • Dapplegrey still runs on Macintosh computers equipped with PowerPC, if Mac OS X 10.4 minimum is installed.

New in Dapplegrey 2.21 (Apr 7, 2011)

  • From the REAL Studio Release Notes: "Minimum OS X system versions are added to the generated plist. Cocoa requires 10.5 and Carbon requires 10.4"
  • Dapplegrey 2.21 is still a Carbon application (not Mac OS 9 compatible)
  • Boxer 1.0 stable version will be recognized now. Be aware, due to Boxer internal changes, Boxer 1.0 no longer works as DOSBox source for Dapplegrey.

New in Dapplegrey 2.20 (Feb 21, 2011)

  • If no Scaler type is selected, which could happen accidentally only, the scaler type will be set to "Normal2x" now. Previously, in this case no scaler type has been sent to DOSBox.
  • CPU Core & Type settings has been re-created ('dynamic' selection to CPU Core is now back in Dapplegrey).

New in Dapplegrey 2.19.3 (Jan 31, 2011)

  • Some issues mixed up these pathes in the past, this update fixes Captures folder setting and Path to the keymapper file.
  • When adding a new game, Joysticktype is now set to DOSBox standard 'auto', instead of 'none'.

New in Dapplegrey 2.19.2 (Jan 29, 2011)

  • Some programming mistakes prevents Dapplegrey from adding a DOS game by drag & drop, causing a NilObject error ("Object can't be found"), of an object which obviously exists, anyway.

New in Dapplegrey 2.19.1 (Jan 28, 2011)

  • Takes care of the new Boxer 1.0beta2 version, which has not been recognized correctly by Dapplegrey 2.19 and older.

New in Dapplegrey 2.19 (Jan 3, 2011)

  • This update takes care of the new Boxer 1.0 version. In case you've used Boxer as DOSBox source before, please read these comments: Boxer no longer includes a separate DOSBox executable file which has been used as DOSBox source by Dapplegrey before, so it is no longer recommended to use Boxer as DOSBox source, at least when attempt to run it from within Dapplegrey. In the future, there are no technical options to use Boxer as DOSBox source.

New in Dapplegrey 2.18.1 (Nov 23, 2010)

  • You might already know that you're able to add disk images to the DOSBox drives. While the 'Add Disk image' dialog is shown, when you click on 'Add image', but decide to cancel this action, Dapplegrey no longer complains about 'NilObjectException', which means 'selected object can't be found'. In fact, if you cancel this action, no object has been selected.

New in Dapplegrey 2.18 (Nov 1, 2010)

  • Some Toolbox path handling was outdated: If the Captures folder is located inside your user's folder, the Captures folder of each Toolbox entry will now be shortened to "~/Library/Application Support/Dapplegrey/...", instead of holding the full path like before. You probably encounter this error only if you move to another Mac, while you've given your old Mac's internal hard disk a different name.
  • The user's game entries are not affected by the mistake described above.
  • In the case Dapplegrey has been installed to the root folder of a drive, the toolbox entries are working now. usually, please copy Dapplegrey like other applications into the Applications folder.
  • When cancelling browsing another path to the Mapperfile (which is initially based on the path to the Captures folder), the previous path will be displayed correctly now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.17 (Oct 25, 2010)

  • When the location of a DOS game previously selected no longer can't be found, probably because its Mac drive is not mounted yet or no longer exist, you can now select a complete different DOS application.
  • If DOSBox can't find a language file set in the Dapplegrey Preferences, DOSBox will immediately quit w/o notation. Dapplegrey now checks whether the language file still exists, before running a DOS game.
  • Now support for the Mac port of DOSBox Megabuild 5, which can be found in the DOSBox forums. An earlier version of Dapplegrey already adds support for 'DOSBox with Glide support', which also can be found in the DOSBox forums.
  • Re-designed GUS 'n' MIDI dialogues.
  • GUS rate will be remembered correctly now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.16 (Oct 4, 2010)

  • When switching between game entries: no longer force quit, if the DOS application previously selected can't be found (for example, if the host drive where the DOS app is stored, isn't mounted to the Mac Finder).
  • When the DOS application previously selected can't be found, the toolbar button 'DOSBox' will be disabled (finally). Usually, if you click this button, the game will be started.
  • The popup menu (see pict below) introduced in version 2.15 works now with Dapplegrey's own toolbox entries, too.

New in Dapplegrey 2.14 (Jul 12, 2010)

  • Tries again to eliminate the command 'mount a /volumes/' given to DOSBox if an user-selected image will be mounted to any of the drives.
  • Checking the use of the -size parameter for folders to be mounted will be remembered now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.13 (Jun 21, 2010)

  • When dragging a folder onto Dapplegrey in order to mount it in DOSBox directly, you can now select a graphics mode to be set in the upcoming DOSBox session.
  • When dragging a disk image onto Dapplegrey in order to mount it in DOSBox directly, you can now set disk image size parameters, if necessary. Also, you can select a graphics mode to be set in the upcoming DOSBox session.
  • Disk-Images with the extension .img could be either a floppy image or an hard disk image. Dapplegrey now takes care of the file size when you add or drag such an image. So you can't bind an .img file bigger than 2880 kB to floppy, or an .img file smaller than 2880k B to hard disk.
  • No longer complains about disk image file names not matching DOS naming conventions, if CD images will be mounted by its Macintosh names.
  • Hint: if all your disk image file names matches 8.3 DOS naming conventions, you can select 'Mount folder first which include selected disk image files' without meeting mounting issues at all. Otherwise, DOSBox tries to convert the file name to 8.3. The command 'Mount folder first which include selected disk image files' mounts that folder first, then imgmounts selected images.
  • Smaller download file because of PDF optimizations.

New in Dapplegrey 2.9 (May 3, 2010)

  • Improved handling of GUS sound setting - drivers are included now, so Gravis Ultrasound became an out-of-the-box runable option.
  • A list of games supporting the Gravis Ultrasound can be found at Mobygames.com:
  • Imgmounting has been improved: Dapplegrey no longer force DOSBox or the user to mount disk images with its expected 8.3 shortened DOS name. Instead of, go to the Disk images dialogues of each game where you've added disk images and select 'Mount disk image files using its Macintosh native pathes', to let Dapplegrey pass its original Macintosh file names to DOSBox, including its complete path each.
  • If you've connected disk images before, when opening an older games list with Dapplegrey version 2.9 the first time, a windows will appear where you'll be asked whether you want to change this mount method for all matching entries now. This new method is more compatible to file names not matching 8.3 naming conventions used by original DOS operating system.
  • The previous used imgmount method, still available for historical reasons, mounts the containing folder to DOSBox first before finally mounting the requested disk images, which is the reason to force Dapplegrey to tell DOSBox the file's DOS expected name, which is big history now. When connecting disk images the first time now, mounting by its Macintosh path and name is pre-configured now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.8.2 (Apr 12, 2010)

  • Supported DOSBox versions are still 0.65 up to 0.73
  • Because of the compiler used to create Dapplegrey, its minimum system requirement meets the Mac OS X 10.4 operating system.
  • Dragging a folder onto Dapplegrey, the DOSBox frontend lists DOS executable file stored in it. There is a version 2.8.2 bugfix to this feature: Double-clicking a DOS executable file listed here will execute it now. Previous versions did nothing, when a file has been double-clicked.
  • Editing Nullmodem settings: 'All notes off', the reset button in this window, no longer causes a NilObject exception.
  • The Dapplegrey Console window which lists the DOSBox output now updates only if changes has been reported by DOSBox. Previous Dapplegrey versions updated it periodically every second which prevents the user from copying its content.
  • Dapplegrey now takes care of text dragged onto its text fields. Carriage Returns will be removed now from such texts, because this chr(13) sign would mix the Dapplegrey games database, making it unuseable. Also, now all text fields check for chr(13) when text will be entered manually, to prevent Dapplegrey games database mixing.

New in Dapplegrey 2.8.1 (Mar 29, 2010)

  • If a game is stored on different path than given in preferences (Base drive c: path), Dapplegrey no longer tells DOSBox to mount this base drive c: path in second place, while game's drive c: path already has been mounted.
  • The internal mount method used by Dapplegrey to imgmount stuff in DOSBox also mounts CD images correctly now, if their extension names are longer than 3 chars ('S2.toast' seen by DOSBox as 'S2~1.TOA'. Length of extension name doesn't matter in this case, but if extension name is longer than 3 chars, DOSBox sees it as 'S2~1.TOA' instead of simply 'S2.TOA'). Future versions of Dapplegrey may offer imgmounting full Mac path as option, which would be more compatible than trying to truncate the disk images filenames to match the DOS 8.3 naming conventions before imgmounting the disk image.
  • Usually, Dapplegrey now tries to snip the Path to the imgmounted disk images, if user's name is within ('Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/username/documents/diskimages/s2.cdr'), the path will be snipped to '~/documents/diskimages/s2.cdr' now. In DOSBox, the shorter the path to be mounted, the better. Unfortunately, shorting doesn't work if the user adds a folder to imgmount its content. For disk images to be mounted, if a folder has been added instead of particular files, Dapplegrey tries to mount all disk images of that folder that match the disk drive type selected (floppy, hard disk, CD-ROM), independent of their name. For single disk images, Dapplegrey's new internal snipping method works fine.
  • Dapplegrey is now disabling some stuff regarding to toolbox entries: Network settings and imgmount stuff has been disabled in order to simplify bugfixing some stuff. For some reasons, reading games list regarding toolbox entries mixed up some settings.
  • If the user enables an additional drive in the toolbox entries, Dapplegrey remembers it now correct. For example, main reason to enable a drive C: to the 'Mah Jongg V-G-A' game by Ron Balewski included in the Dapplegrey toolbox is to enable the option to save a game.

New in Dapplegrey 2.8 (Mar 22, 2010)

  • Supported DOSBox versions are still 0.65 up to 0.73
  • Because of the compiler used to create Dapplegrey, its minimum system requirement meets the Mac OS X 10.4 operating system.
  • There is a new Dapplegrey preference setting: "Delay between DOSBox start and DOSBox being front-most application", given in seconds. Due to compiler reasons, DOSBox no longer can't be activated immediately after its upstart, but Dapplegrey have to wait a few seconds until, since REALbasic changes its internal thread handle in version 2010r1. So, if both Dapplegrey & DOSBox get the spinning wait cursor, please force quit DOSBox first and then increase the wait amount to prevent the spinning wait cursor. In opponent, if the spinning wait cursor doesn't appear with the current setting, you could try to decrease its value.
  • If you drag folders, drives and disk images onto Dapplegrey, Dapplegrey now asks a bit for confirmation: Do you want to see a list of its content after mounting in DOSBox? If folders or real drives are dragged onto Dapplegrey you'll get the option to select a DOS application first to run it immediately after DOSBox mounted its parent as drive.
  • If dragged onto Dapplegrey, DOS applications can be added to the Dapplegrey games list now. This, adding to the games list, doesn't work with dragged folders only yet.
  • If the folder dragged onto Dapplegrey is called 'Windows' and Windows 3.1 is installed inside, its parent will be mounted as drive C: in DOSBox automatically. This will be done to protect the Windows 3.1 installation, as it won't run properly, if the Windows folder itself is mounted as the C: drive.
  • Also, onto Dapplegrey dragged folders will be checked for an installed Windows 3.1 version, so the user can decide whether he/she wants to run Windows 3.1 directly after DOSBox starts up.
  • The db-info.bat file created by Minimax of the DOSBox forums, which is included in the Dapplegrey Toolbox, can be executed from the DOSBox menu now, listing DOSBox settings of current selected game entry.
  • Bugfixes:
  • Advanced CPU Cycle settings ('Cycles=auto 3000 80% limit 5000' for example), which has been introduced a while ago, are working correctly now.
  • In the Window menu which lists most windows opened in Dapplegrey, the menu item which re-directs the user to DOSBox, gets no longer an empty name if the user drags a folder or drive onto the Dapplegrey application icon.
  • Disk images will be handled correctly now. For unknown reasons, Dapplegrey counted zero disk images after reading the games list at application start, even if some disk images has been added, at least on the Mac OS X 10.4.11 computer the Dapplegrey developer runs. Luckily, their names has not been lost, so Dapplegrey now always checks the names of the Disk images added, and if there some has been added, Dapplegrey fixes the number of its amount. Because this mistake should be independent of the Mac OS X version used, all users of Dapplegrey who (wanted to) use disk images, should re-check their disk image setting located in the 'Drives' area of Dapplegrey.
  • Adding folders when selecting disk images no longer will be commented with 'No matching disk images has been found.' Also, disk images matching the particular drive letter will be mounted correctly now.
  • Remember, to check whether Dapplegrey send the mount commands correctly to DOSBox, you may open the Dapplegrey DOSBox menu and call the menu items 'List mount commands' and 'Test mount commands'.
  • In the Preferences window, if you set the currently selected keyboard layout, the correct keyboard layout will be mentioned, in the Messagebox. Also, Dapplegrey now remembers the keyboard layout given to FreeDOS KEYB.EXE external keyboard driver application.

New in Dapplegrey 2.7.8 (Mar 1, 2010)

  • Some changes in 2.7.7 broke running Setup applications if its drive letter has been set to A:
  • This is fixed now.
  • Drag & Drop real disks and CD-ROMs now, unless there is a Mac operating system stored on it.
  • These images will be re-directed to DOSBox immediately.

New in Dapplegrey 2.7.7 (Feb 17, 2010)

  • A new menu has been added: 'Window' which list open Dapplegrey windows including running DOSBox games
  • To the end user, the most-noticable addition is to enable drag-&-drop of Finder folders onto the Dapplegrey application icon. Like DOS application before, which has been started immediately, you can now mount a Finder folder as drive C: in DOSBox just by dragging the folder onto the Dapplegrey application icon.
  • Main window & Floating Gameslist window now mark 'List favorites only' together
  • The Dapplegrey developer decided to remove the working code from 'List favorites only' checkbox located in the Floating Gameslist window in order to not confuse the execution code a lot (activating both 'List favorites only', in main window plus in Floating Gameslist window confuses the source code a lot, by flickering the main window games list a few times, which slowed down the frontend. This is the reason why the 'List favorites only' checkbox located in the Floating Gameslist window has been de-activated)

New in Dapplegrey 2.7.6 (Feb 3, 2010)

  • When adding disk images (or even CD images), a warn message will appear, if its name is longer than 8 characters. If you receive this msg, it is recommended to shorten its name accordingly, but you are not forced to do so yet. Be aware, DOSBox handles shortened file names better than longer ones.
  • Some graphical fixes, i.e. some buttons did not have graphics.
  • 'Listing favorites only' has been fixed, in both situations app start and Floating Gameslist Window.

New in Dapplegrey 2.7.4 (Jan 8, 2010)

  • Path to mapperfile has been fixed: Now Dapplegrey asks for a folder where mapper.txt will be saved, no longer asks for a file to be the mapperfile, because DOSBox always sets its name to 'mapper.txt' automatically. To simplify the fixing patch, Path to mapperfile will be set to already existing Capturesfolder setting, which is located within 'Application Support/Dapplegrey/Gamename' folder by default, except you set a different. If you want to save your mapperfiles to a different location, please change the path manually. This has been handled wrong by Dapplegrey since its very first version...
  • A new preference setting has been added to DOSBox options: 'Close Console Window when DOSBox quits'. Means, if you exit DOSBox or DOSBox will be exited automatically after game exit, the Dapplegrey Console Window will be closed, too.
  • The command 'Run plain DOSBox', located in the 'DOSBox' menu, opens a sheetwindow, if a base drive C: path is given. A few other options will also be offered, i. e. including a language file, when set in Preferences.

New in Dapplegrey 2.6.5 (Nov 18, 2009)

  • REALbasic 2009r4 changes some stuff internally, so programmers have to do some extra work to get Drag-and-Drop working (again).
  • This issue has been fixed with this version.
  • So if Drag-and-Drop not worked for you with previous versions (like for the programmer of this application on his PowerBook G4 with Mac OS X 10.4.11 installed), use this version of Dapplegrey now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.6.3 (Oct 12, 2009)

  • Editing the Game Informations using the Game Info Window no longer causes the main games list to be mixed (title bar previously shows another game entry than the title marked in the games list): The currently selected game entry remains selected now, if you close the Game Info Window.
  • If you've attempted to delete a game entry, but you cancel it to keep the entry, the games list remains untouched. Previous versions switched to the first entry when deleting game entries has been canceled by the user (switching to the first entry after deleting game entries is still a valid value).
  • When the user cancel to add an DOS executable file in the "Add Game" dialog window, no longer the pre-defined path will be filled into the "Path to game exe file" text field, which probably made the "Add Game" dialog unserviceable.

New in Dapplegrey 2.6.2 (Sep 14, 2009)

  • Tabulator key order has been fixed. The most-used window which doesn't tabbed in order of text field arrangement was the Game Info window. Now tabbing by tab key will go in correct order, not mixed.
  • For some reasons, the Preferences didn't handle last selected DOSBox application correct by switching back to previous selected one (You can select Boxer, DOSBox and DBGL as DOSBox sources as well).

New in Dapplegrey 2.6.1 (Aug 16, 2009)

  • If QuickStart window is open and you're adding games to the games list, they'll be shown in the QuickStart window immediately, too.
  • When deleting a game from games list, it will be removed from QuickStart window, too.
  • Deleting a game from the games list has been re-written. It no longer just remove the entry from the list - the complete list will be re-filled now.
  • Deleting the bottom entry of Images to be mounted will no longer delete the entire list.
  • Other fixes

New in Dapplegrey 2.2.1 (May 18, 2009)

  • QuickStart window improved:
  • Double-click a game entry now to start the game.
  • Descriptions for game entries you've entered before are displayed now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.2 (Mar 2, 2009)

  • New window added: A spin-off window of the main window, which is much smaller than the main window (you could put the main window into the Dock).
  • This spin-off window, called QuickStart, also contains a lesser amount of control elements, which makes Dapplegrey handling easier.

New in Dapplegrey 2.1.1 (Jan 17, 2009)

  • Fixed: Minimizing Dapplegrey's main window occurs in unexpected quit of Dapplegrey.

New in Dapplegrey 2.1 (Dec 22, 2008)

  • Finally I managed to migrate the Dapplegrey project file from an older version of REALbasic (v2007r5) to the current version 2008r5, which wasn't easy because importing the project to any version 2008 mixes the elements located in Tabulator Panels. So needed to re-place their correct locations, which is now finished. Compiling with a recent version of the compiler is always an advantage, so use this version of Dapplegrey now.
  • Now you could load Disk images to drive letter 'C:' , too. Enables you to add booter games images to the Dapplegrey games list.
  • Keyboard Layout expansions: Replaced the non-functional Codepage text field by a popup menu which lists valid codepages for the keyboard layout selected.
  • Disk Images no longer will be mounted if Drive Checkbox is unchecked.
  • Disk images still should match DOS naming conventions, the 8.3 thingy.
  • Preferences window fixes:
  • DOSBox Pathes, "'Base Drive C:' path" remembers the path setting correctly now. Something prevents it from moving the Preferences setting to the Application settings, so the information was lost in past.

New in Dapplegrey 2.0.7 (Oct 29, 2008)

  • In the past Dapplegrey checks the applications folder and subfolders of the Applications folder for DOSBox.app. Now, if DOSBox can't be found there, the frontend checks also its own folder for DOSBox.app, before you will be asked for it.
  • When using the non-official Universal Binary port of DOSBox 0.65, the menu command "Kill DOSBox" doesn't work at all, so this menu command will be deactivated now, if you're using this version of DOSBox. Unfortunately, if you've installed multiple DOSBox versions beside 0.65, there will be still started another instance of a newer version of DOSBox without calling the DOS app you wanted to run. If that happens to you, just switch to DOSBox 0.65 by using Cmd-TAB keyboard shortcut.
  • If the Keyboard shortcut window is open, when DOSBox starts, that window remains visible now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.0.6 (Aug 26, 2008)

  • Check CD/DVD drives msg displays in english now instead of in german as before.
  • Some other text fixed, which has been displayed in german before.
  • Deleting an entry switches the games list to first entry, also the TabPanel content of the deleted entry will be removed now. Before, the TabPanel content still displayed the content of the deleted entry, which was wrong.

New in Dapplegrey 2.0.5 (Jun 18, 2008)

  • This version no longer writes its files into the folder "Preferences/Dapplegrey", which causes Problems at least in Leopard, but writes its files directly into the Preferences folder like version 1.x line has done.
  • This method has been reported to work by users, so the frontend remembers your game settings correctly now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.0.4 (Jun 12, 2008)

  • In your games list, marked buttons should unsually not be activated, at least for now.

New in Dapplegrey 2.0.3 (Jun 10, 2008)

  • Version 2.0.3 fixes the not-enabling of Setup Executive File options.

New in Dapplegrey 2.0.2 (May 26, 2008)

  • Games list in main window
  • Handling of disk images added
  • "Mount this folder as Drive C:" added a re-allocate button
  • No longer writes a file "DOSBox Preferences" to Preferences folder. Game settings will now be saved in "Application Support" folder. So Dapplegrey does no longer interfere with stand-alone DOSBox.
  • Directserial has been fixed, will no longer been mixed after frontend restart.
  • Maximal offered CPU cycles still remains unchanged. If you need a higher amount of maximal offered CPU cycles on recent Macintoshes, please let the author know, because he still doesn't own such a Macintosh.
  • German readme file included now. If you understand german, you should read this one instead of the english readme file, because german is native language of Dapplegrey author.
  • Author hopes, the "NilObject" err will no longer occur if frontend tries to write the config file

New in Dapplegrey 2.0.1 (May 20, 2008)

  • Hope, the "NilObject" err will no longer occur if frontend tries to write the config file

New in Dapplegrey 2.0 (May 19, 2008)

  • Now, the support for version 1.9.2 or older has been dropped.

New in Dapplegrey 1.9.2 Beta 3 (Apr 7, 2008)

  • By pressing the Option key during frontend start (and when choosing the DOSBox application manually) the frontend doesn't check the DOSBox version number. For MacOS X 10.5.2 Security update 2008-002, it has been reported dg doesn't recognize DOSBox at all. Completely re-written DOSBox version checking subroutine, should no longer report an err msg. It can still be passed by pressing the Option key.

New in Dapplegrey 1.9.2 Beta 2 (Apr 4, 2008)

  • Completely re-written DOSBox version checking subroutine, should no longer report an err msg. It can still be passed by pressing the Option key.

New in Dapplegrey 1.9.2 Beta 1 (Mar 25, 2008)

  • If the version number of DOSBox isn't recognized correctly, the frontend will ignore that and assumes the choosen application (normally called "DOSBox.app") will work correctly.
