Bout Time Changelog

What's new in Bout Time 1.7

Jan 21, 2013
  • Added "Group" column to Master List table. This makes it easier to determine what group a wrestler belongs to.
  • Added "Geo" column to Master List table. This field can be used to further identify an entry. For instance, this could be used for the entry's region, city, state, or conference. This value is also used when randomly seeding a group.
  • Random Seeding. Seed values for a group are now assigned randomly. Entries from the same team are automatically separated as far as possible. Also, entries that have the same "Geo" value are automatically separated as far as possible. Users also have the ability to set the seed value for certain entries and randomly assign seed values for the rest of the group.
  • Award Inventory report. This report displays the number of awards that are needed for the tournament.
  • Bout counter when selecting groups. There is a counter that keeps track of the number of bouts that are selected from the list of groups. This is useful when assigning groups to a mat.

New in Bout Time 1.6 (Nov 21, 2012)

  • Coach's Bout Sequence report. This is a report of a team's entries and their bout numbers for the entire tournament. See this for a sample report and an explanation of how to read it.
  • Sample files : tournament, and entries for input. Some sample data is included in the "sample" folder. This data can be used for users wanting to "kick the tires" and try out bout-time.

New in Bout Time 1.5 (Oct 13, 2012)

  • Added a "Bouts" tab for easier updating of bout results and winners. You can see a screenshot here. This new "Bouts" tab allows a user to filter the bouts by mat and easily generate a new Boutsheet report.
  • Updated the 3rd party jar files used in the application. This should improve stability, and also enable support for the Java version 7 runtime environment.
