Collaborate:
A great building is the result of designers, architects, engineers and contractors working together. We are committed to facilitate open collaboration. Archicad supports more than 40 export and import formats, including classics such as DWG, PDF and XLS as well as the contemporary OPEN BIM formats IFC and BCF. The latter are manufacturer-independent and industry standards.
New Native Survey Point:
Streamline your coordination workflows thanks to the native Survey Point in Archicad 25. The Survey Point enables easier, centralized handling of real-world coordinates in all Open BIM workflows. Survey Point supports IFC and BCF file exchange, and also provides better interoperability with conventional (e.g. DWG) file formats.
Easy migration from Revit to Archicad:
Re-use previous project files when migrating from Revit to Archicad, thanks to the RFA & RVT geometry exchange functionality. Available out-of-the-box with Archicad 25, with support for Autodesk Revit 2021.
Interoperability with Revit:
Better collaboration with engineers using Revit MEP software:
Support for Revit file formats up to 2021 is now built in to Archicad. Import RFA as a native Archicad Object and create MEP equipment from Revit Family files. Export a 3D model as Revit 3D geometry and hotlink a 3D RVT model. Archicad now handles Revit’s Discipline filter, so when you hotlink a Revit file, what you see in Revit is what you get in Archicad.
Solibri connection improvements:
Solibri is the industry leading code- and constructability checking application. Save time and eliminate the errors in roundtrips thanks to the Archicad-Solibri Connection add-on, free for all users. With the latest improvement, you can select Solibri’s current Selection Basket items in Archicad and view them in the same camera position.
Structural Analytical Model Improvements:
Generation Rules enhancements:
Generation Rules help the structural engineers to avoid heavy manual work on Structural Analytical model. Archicad 25 now comes with a few novelties (such as Improvements of Offset Adjustments and Connection Range, Eliminating Overlapping Parts of 2D Members, and Streamlined Structural Supports.)
New Handling of Structural Loads:
Collaborate with structural engineers without data loss. During roundtrip engineers add information to the model, such as loads and loads-related data on their preferred structural analysis tools. When opening the engineer’s SAF model, Archicad 25 correctly displays loads and load data. View and manage loads and load-related information, such as load cases and load combinations. Structural engineers can also adjust or add new loads in the Archicad model.
Automatic Export Mapping of Manufactured Profiles:
Save time and effort when exchanging files with structural engineers. When exporting structural elements as part of SAF-based data exchange, Archicad 25 now automatically maps them to manufactured profiles, based on a predefined or customized database.
Design:
Great designs shine in the details. To help you excel, Archicad 25 makes work easier in many small ways — offering a significant boost in convenience, accuracy and efficiency.
New residential and commercial furniture:
39 new contemporary furniture and decorations objects – such as new modular kitchen cabinets, sofa beds, cloth hangers, curtains, coat racks, tables, chairs, mattresses, and grills are now part of the default Archicad library – totaling over 1,300 parametric objects already.
Quick shift between 2D/3D views:
You’re working in 3D, but would prefer to edit a component in 2D? This is now seamless: Simply select the element and open it in any other view. Moving back and forth from 2D to 3D is just as easy.
Polygonal Openings:
Take advantage of more precise quantity estimations. With custom-shaped polygonal wall openings, create holes of any shape which exactly fit your MEP elements – resulting in more accurate quantities.
Rhino 6 and 7 connection improvements:
Import and export Rhino 6 and Rhino 7 files to leverage the power of the industry-leading free-form organic design tools, then switch to Archicad to continue the design development and documentation processes.
Stair Tool Improvements:
New Along Chord stair construction geometry method:
Define the length of the walking-lines of stairs that comply with specific local standards. The existing Along Arc geometry method is still available.
New tread symmetry combinations for all winder types:
A new stair winder option is now available: Turning Point – Asymmetric Going.
Define and edit custom stairs that follow your design intent quickly and easily.
New Stair Landing control:
Now the extra landing length can be automatically distributed equally from the landing start or from the landing end. This is useful when an existing staircase must be adapted to changing design environment.
Visualize:
Architecture is about more than just creating professional designs. It’s about communicating intent, and the interaction between space and volume. Archicad 25 offers a range of innovations to make your designs more expressive.
Display of surface textures in sections and elevation views:
Communicate your design in life-like detail. Display your surface textures directly in section and elevation views in Archicad without the use of additional editing software.
Realistic soft-shadow and cover fill option on textures:
Present your design with accurate, artistic details. Use soft shadows to add contours and depth to your surfaces in section and elevation views. Overlay textures with the pattern fill of your choice. Your client gets a better picture of the model, and you benefit from faster approval.
Native Metal graphics technology for Mac users:
3D rendering on Mac is faster than ever. Archicad now uses Metal, Apple’s new graphics API, replacing Open GL. Metal has near-direct access to the graphics processing unit, resulting in faster rendering speeds.
Document:
Stay on top of the game with error-free documentation that automatically follows your design and complies with regulations and local standards.
New Graphic Override Options:
Enjoy more flexibility in communicating your design. New controls in Graphic Overrides include custom RGB color for both Surface and Fill Background Pen overrides; surface transparency; and off/on display of contours on cut and uncut surfaces in model views.

Façade Design:
The remastered Façade Design tool provides flexible design environment for architects to create external or internal facades, elevations and surfaces with modular structures and hierarchical, repetitive patterns. Designing and detailing Curtain Walls is not only more accurate but it’s also easier to adherence local requirements for documenting and listing.
Parametric Profile Editor:
The Parametric Profile Editor combines the power of parametric design with the freedom of graphical profile creation. Create more intelligent Profiles for Walls, Beams and Columns, by defining parametric edges in the Profile Editor. This will allow offset individual or multiple edges centrally for the Profile Attribute or at the instance level - either graphically or via element settings.
Expression Defined Property Values:
Architects may benefit from defining complex data-processing expressions for elements. The result can be used in ARCHICAD for tagging or filtering elements, and presented in any graphical, tabular or model output, governed by arithmetic, logical and text handling operations – very similar to functions in standard spreadsheet programs.
Performance:
ARCHICAD 22 introduces a smooth and truly responsive panning and zooming navigation experience for 2D views, even in very large projects. ARCHICAD utilizes ultra-high – 4K and 5K – monitor screen resolution on Microsoft Windows 10 operating systems too, similarly to the retina display on Mac. The representation of fine details of icons, lines, texts and other graphic user interface elements are now produce a much sharper look.
Professional Visualization: CineRender v19 Engine:
ARCHICAD 22 uses Maxon’s latest (R19) CineRender engine and enables architects to utilize professional visualization processes and features without leaving ARCHICAD. Now Tone Mapping, Stereoscopic and 360-degree or spherical renderings can be created.
Custom Graphical Labels:
Select any combination of drawing primitives (lines, arcs, polylines), plus Text Blocks (including Element-related Autotexts), then save and use them as a Label.
IFC Import and Export enhancements:
ARCHICAD supports the import of geometry representation of double-curved, complex geometry elements, the non-uniform rational basis splines (NURBS) from IFC4 files. Properties and quantities of components (composite skins, complex profiles, multibody object parts) can be exported for quantity take-off and cost estimation applications.
Updated Attribute Manager dialog:
The Attribute Manager dialog has been re-engineered to work faster and more reliably. New features include: instant search of Attributes of the left and/or right side and when switching between Tabs; delete and replace functionality now works directly; Layers and Layer Combinations merged into a single Tab, allowing Layer states to be edited across multiple selected Layer Combinations; support for editing of multiple Attributes simultaneously.
Updated Model View Options dialog:
The Model View Options dialog has been redesigned, to match the layout of other dialogs, with the following changes: MVO Combinations and the Search field are now on the left side of the dialog; ‘Store as’ and ‘Rename’ functions have been removed; Panels on the right side of the dialog have been reorganized and simplified; during migration, previous “Custom” Sets used by project views will become automatically named MVO Combinations.
Updated ARCHICAD-Grasshopper Connection Tool:
Thanks to the latest development ARCHICAD’s enhanced Curtain Wall feature set is fully accessible from Grasshopper. Designers may start assembling Curtain Wall Patterns using any set of 2D lines as well as manage all sub-elements on the Grasshopper Canvas and create astonishing facades in ARCHICAD using algorithmic design definitions.

PDF Reviewer Tool connection (e.g. Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam etc.)
With this solution, we provide a complete, bi-directional workflow between ARCHICAD and any standard PDF reviewer tool, such as Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam. The solution improves communication and collaboration among architects, engineers and other project stakeholders during PDF-based project management. Bi-directional means that all the markups created in the PDF editor can be imported back to ARCHICAD, where they are transformed into Markup entries which appear in the correct location, helping the user to understand and solve the issue.
Link Rhino (.3dm):
We have further improved collaboration between ARCHICAD and Rhinoceros – a popular free-form modelling tool – by adding new import options. The user can link Rhino source files (.3dm) into ARCHICAD, and update, relink etc. in the usual way, similarly to the Link IFC feature introduced in ARCHICAD 21.
Also, Rhino files can be imported into ARCHICAD as an Object, so the new command directly imports Rhino models into ARCHICAD’s Embedded Library as a GDL Object. This command replaces the "Rhino-GDL Converter" add-on, released for ARCHICAD 18, 19 and 20.
Bluebeam Reviewer Tool connection (add-on product, part of US only):

This Hotfix fixes a large number of ArchiCAD 17 bugs. Many frequent crashes, editing problems, IFC and Teamwork issues have been solved. Numerous BIMx bugs have been also corrected.
The hotfix applies to ArchiCAD, BIM Server and all other components: BIM Server Manager, BIMx, MEP Modeler and all GRAPHISOFT-distributed Add-Ons and Goodies. It applies to all (Commercial, Educational and Trial) license types.

159706 BIMX: Overwriting a .BIMx file while saving it resulted in its disappearance.
160159 BIMx: BIMx file saved with the "Create Single Movie..." option from an ArchiCAD project containing multiple camera paths could cause BIMx crash.
161182 BIMx: The rotation value of a texture in BIMx was one hundredth of the same value in ArchiCAD.
