  • This update of Adobe Prelude has fixed the issue in marker display in the Marker panel. In the ealier versions, you could be unable to view markers in the Marker panel in the List/Logging workspace when you switch from Rough Cut workspace. This update works fine if you open a single media (not a rough cut) in the Rough Cut workspace. If you open a rough cut media and switch from Rough Cut workspace to List/Logging workspace, refresh the Marker panel.
  • Bug fixes:
  • When you switch to List/Logging workspace from Rough Cut workspace, you could be unable to view markers in the Marker panel. This issue occurrs when you switch from a workspace that includes Marker panel to a workspace without Marker panel.

  • Visual Keyboard Shortcut Editor:
  • The visual keyboard shortcut is here to enhance your editing experience. Use the Visual Keyboard Shortcut Editor to see which keys have been assigned shortcuts and which are available for assignment.
  • Audio channel mapping enhancements:
  • The Export Media pop-up now has a Separate Mono Tracks checkbox. You can enable this check box to export the audio in the media as a one-to-one mapping. When the checkbox is left unchecked, the audio output will be Stereo.

  • This release introduces Team Projects, a hosted service that lets editors and motion graphics artists work collaboratively in projects within Prelude CC, Premiere Pro CC, and After Effects CC. This service adds deep collaboration features such as version history and smart conflict resolution. Post-production professionals can share their edits and get the latest changes from collaborators, allowing concurrent changes to happen on a single project – which is powerful for workflows where you can ingest clips in Prelude at the same time when visual effects and motion graphics are being done in After Effects and the edit is being refined in Premiere Pro.

  • Miscellaneous updates:
  • You can now assign a keyboard shortcut for every Tag. This enables you to tag faster. To use the assigned shortcuts, first select the tag in the Tag panel. Use the Ctrl+Shift+. and Ctrl+Shift+, keyboard shortcuts to select the next panel and the previous panel respectively.
  • You can add multiple tags to a single marker. Press and hold the Shift key down when you are adding the tags, and multiple tags are added to the currently selected markers in the timeline.
  • There is support for the new CEP versions which provide improvements on HTML 5.
  • The 5.1 stereo effect is added to audio tracks in Prelude now. Previously, every channel was added as a mono track.
  • Rough Cut files are saved with the extension .arcutx instead of the previous .arcut extension.

  • Hover-scrub thumbnails in the Project panel. Just move your cursor over the clip to preview it.
  • Rough cut export:
  • Share rough cuts faster by exporting directly to Adobe Media Encoder from Prelude. You can also choose to send to Adobe Premiere Pro for final editing.
  • File renaming on ingest:
  • Set up your own filename presets to automatically rename files upon ingest so you can search and find files more easily.
  • Custom metadata on ingest:
  • When you create the rules, you get exactly the metadata you need. Prelude lets you create custom metadata templates, so collecting key information becomes an easy and consistent part of the ingest workflow.
  • Script scenes as metadata:
  • Working with scripts created in Adobe Story (also in Creative Cloud), you can drag and drop scenes to link them with footage as searchable metadata. Search with word-specific accuracy thanks to speech transcription markers that stay with your footage throughout the production workflow.
