View JPX Files

JPX is a raster image format based on the JPEG 2000 compression method, a modern graphic compression standard and coding system. JPX images can be created using either lossless or lossy compression.

JPX image format features a wavelet compression algorithm as opposed to the DCT (Digital Cosine Transform) one used when encoding standard JPEG image files.

JPX will also feature additional metadata that describes the exact contents of this type of image files.

To be able to view their JPX images, users will have to find and use an image viewer that features built-in support for this particular graphic format.
