FIT (Better known as FITS) is a graphic file format created for storing grabbed frames from telescope observations.
The FIT format was developed to save and store astronomical image data in a standard way, and this type of graphic files will usually include both binary data and ASCII text.
If users want to view their FIT image files, they will have to find and use a compatible graphic viewer with built-in support for this specific image format.
Although most FIT viewers do not feature support for editing functions, some of them will also allow their users to export and rotate their FIT files to other graphic formats.
