Open OGG Files

OGG is a compressed container format based on the free and unpatented Ogg Vorbis compression algorithm. OGG was created to support efficient manipulation and streaming of high quality media.

OGGs can integrate multiple independent streams of audio, video, subtitles and metadata. The OGG format resembles MP3, but it features better quality compared to an MP3 file of the same size.

To be able to play OGG files, a basic audio player app is sufficient because the format is free, ant it is integrated in almost all multimedia players.

There are also a number of OGG players that will allow users to convert their OGG files to other multimedia formats.
