OGG is the open standard container format which provides managing and streaming of high-quality multimedia.

The OGG format can process several independent streams for video, audio, subtitles and metadata. OGG audio files use the OGG Vorbis compression, so that although this format is similar to MP3, it will sound better in quality.

A lot of audio players come with built-in support for the OGG format because they incorporate the appropriate codecs (this happens because, unlike other formats, OGG is free).
