If users leave their computers unattended, even for short periods of time, their data can be accessed by anyone.
To make sure that private data remains private, one may use a dedicated security app to lock their Mac.
Such tools can lockdown a Mac once the user activates them, or, more frequently, they will automatically lock the computer when keyboard and/or mouse activity is not detected for a pre-defined period of time.
When unlocking, users will have to enter the correct password, to push a certain key combination or to pass a face recognition test.
