Multiple-image Network Graphics (better known as MNG) is a raster graphic file format taht comes with support for image animation.

MNG was originally created to function as an improved version of PNG therefore it was optimized by adding indexed colors and animation capabilities.

Although MNG files are rather similar to GIFs, it also features multi-level transparency and a btter compression algorithm.
