PICT (short for Picture File) is an image format developed to be the default metafile format on the Macintosh platform. In time, the PICT graphics format got deprecated and it was replaced by the PDF document format.

Developed by Apple for storing QuickDraw technology based images, PICT files currently feature support for both raster and vector data.

Creating PICT image files may be achieved by converting images using applications with support for this specific format.
