Create J2K Files

J2K is a graphic format created to replace the discrete cosine transform-based JPEG algorithm used to encode standard JPEG graphic files with a new wavelet compression algorithm.

Because J2K files can be encoded using either lossless or lossy compression methods, users have a lot of liberty when it comes to creating such files.

To create custom J2K image files, users will have to convert their images to the J2K format using compatible graphic converters that come with built-in support for this specific image format.

There is a wide range of graphic apps that support creating J2K files, and most of them will allow users to apply effects to the source images and to crop, rotate, or resize them before converting them to the JP2 format.
