The Journalist is a practical and smooth-running OS X application that provides the necessary tools to write, edit and organize all our notes from within a user-oriented interface. The well-designed application is available for free and can be installed with just a few mouse click. You just have to download the lightweight ZIP archive from our website, decompress it with an unarchiving utility of your choice and copy The Journalist to your Mac’s Applications folder.

The Journalist’s interface is specially designed to help you focus on your notes and avoid other distractions. What is more, The Journalist features support for the Markdown plain text formatting syntax and, as a result, you can define the aspect of your notes as you type without raising your hands off the keyboard.

The Journalist enables you to quickly and effortlessly add as many images as you like to your notes. To insert an image you just have to drag and drop it exactly where you want it. The Journalist’s main window is divided in two panels, the left one is for writing and editing your text while the right one allows you to preview your note.

By accessing the “List” tab you can view, delete and change the date of your notes. The Settings tab helps you enable the Dropbox sync feature and synchronize your notes. There is also a mobile version of the application that enables you to view, access and write notes directly from your iOS device.
