A minimalist Mac OS X application that offers you the possibility to write in plain text and use the Markdown formatting syntax.
The Macchiato main window is represented by a blank canvas where you can start typing your text. At the same time, the application comes with full support for working in full screen mode, automatically saves your work and retains document versions.
Once you start typing, Macchiato will automatically format your text but keep in mind that the app will not “parse” the text: the Markdown is source is simply stylized.
What’s more, the app comes with a collection of color and font themes: you can preview the available templates and select the ones that match your needs in the Macchiato Preferences window.
All things considered, Macchiato delivers a minimalist interface for typing plain text and will stylize the Markdown syntax used in your project. However, keep in mind that Macchiato does not provide complex Markdown editing capabilities.
