LightPaper for Mac
LightPaper is a straightforward word processor designed for passionate writers that features a minimalistic interface, support for Markdown, as well as MultiMarkdown.
Simple and clean user interface
LightPaper comes with a user-oriented interface that enables you to focus on your blog, article, note, book or to-do list without searching for useless buttons and toolbars. Consequently, you can start writing as soon as you launch LightPaper and forget about text formatting and other distracting features.
Distraction Free Mode
What is more, LightPaper features a Distraction Free Mode that helps you immerse in your reading or writing by highlighting only the selected paragraph and fading the previous and next paragraphs. On top of that, you can use the built-in live preview panel to preview your Markdown documents.
One of the most useful features provided by LightPaper, is the built-in Folder Navigator, that helps you open the desired folder and browse through all contained subfolders and files without switching back and forth between LightPaper and the Finder window. Moreover, you can open multiple documents in different tabs that you can also close with just a mouse click.
By accessing the File menu, you can effortlessly export your work to a PDF, HTML or audio file, create a new file and open a new blank window. Thanks to the Preferences window, you can change LightPaper’s theme, font type and size along with the screen margins. Depending on the chosen theme, the syntax highlighter will color code your code blocks with different colors.
The Editor tab helps you enable or disable the automatic bulleting option, as well as the “Auto pair braces and quotes” and the “Parse out Jekyll Font” function. You can even make LightPaper the default Markdown editor and decide what type of files and folders should be hidden from the Folder navigator.
