Jedit X Standard For Mac

Jedit X Standard is simple and clean macOS application designed to help you load, open, edit and save plain and rich text files from within a user-friendly interface.

Jedit X Standard comes with a user-oriented interface from which can instantly write and edit various text-based files, open multiple windows in different tabs and take advantage of the File Drawer and keep all your documents under control.

By accessing the File Drawer, you can easily view, browse, sort and filter your files with just a couple of mouse clicks. At the same time, the Info Drawer helps you view detailed information about the selected file, track bookmarks and check its properties.

The context menu helps you check your spelling and grammar, create a new document using the current selection and translate from English to Japanese and vice versa. What is more, you can use the provided templates to start your own HTML, LaTeX, RTF or TXT file.

The Edit menu allows you to perform all the standard text edit functions, insert page breaks or line breaks, date and time stamps and use the auto complete feature in order to improve your writing speed and workflow.

Another useful feature provided by Jedit X Standard is its Syntax Highlighting capabilities that enable your to write and edit various languages more easier and faster. The Syntax coloring function comes with support for C, CSS, HTML, Java, JavaScript, LaTeX, Perl, PHP, PLIST and Python.

From the View menu, you can also show or hide the File and Info Drawer along with the TabBar, Ruler, line number, characters control and invisible characters. You can change the ruler units, numbering style and browse your HTML document with a browser of your choice.

On top of all aforementioned features and tools, Jedit X Standard also comes with other useful functions such as smart quot substitution, line cursor, auto scrolling and smart URL link just to name a few.
