Wallsaver is a free and easy to use Cocoa application (written in AppleScript) that allows users to run their screen savers as their desktop wallpaper.

NOTE: Wallsaver is free for personal use.

Here are some key features of "Wallsaver":

· Wallsaver doesn't have to be running 24/7. You can launch Wallsaver, activate your screen saver, and then quit the program. Restoring your desktop is just as easy. Open up Wallsaver, click "Restore", and you're set.
· It's simple. The original application was only 30 lines of code.
· It's cool. Now you will be able to show off the full potential of your Mac by letting it power through a task that would definitely bring a PC to its knees

Requirements:

· Quartz Extreme capable graphics card with at least 32 MB of memory
· A screen saver worth applying as the desktop background.

· This update is ONLY for Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard or Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. Users on Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger should NOT upgrade. More information is available here.

· Fixed & optimized code for populating list of screen savers. This should make more third-party screen savers appear in the screen saver list.
