OtaClock For Mac

The Otaclock application developed by Konami and featuring the Octacon Sprite from Metal Gear Solid 2 is not compatible with most recent Mac OS X version.

This OtaClock OS X application is recreating the original Konami Otaclock app in order to make it compatible with Mac OS X Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite, and El Capitan.

The OtaClock application is represented by a single floating window that includes the sprite of the Octacon character from the Metal Gear Solid 2 game. Right next to the sprite, a comment bubble is showing the current time.

To customize the application, just activate the attached contextual menu, and you can adjust details related to the OtaClock viewing mode, window size, or alarm.

The OtaClock panel can be easily moved around the desktop with simple drag and drop actions. Via the contextual menu, you can choose to keep it always on top of all apps, or to fix it to the current location.

You can toggle the shadow, decide to include the date next to the clock, toggle the military time viewing mode, or activate the clock's alarm. Note that you can set the alarm, but at the moment the sound effects are not yet implemented.

Moreover, OtaClock comes in ten different sizes, and you can readily increase or decrease the sprite’s dimension, depending on the available space.

OtaClock is a great desktop addition for Metal Gear Solid 2 enthusiasts that want to place the Otacon character on their Mac’s screen.

The Octacon sprite has a pixelated design that gives a retro look to your desktop, but it can also show the time and trigger alarms.
