Grabilla For Mac

Being able to quickly share screenshots is extremely important if you are working on a project with other people. Grabilla is a small Mac app that enables you to effortlessly grab screenshots, make annotation, and save the results to the disk or upload the files to the Grabilla image sharing server.

The Grabilla app resides in the status bar and its menu enables you to trigger the capture process, to open the local captures folder, or to launch the Grabilla website in your default web browse in order to visualize the images that have been uploaded online.

Moreover, the app is featuring a floating button and a system wide hotkey designed to instantly start the capture process. As a result, you can use the Grabilla capabilities regardless of the tasks you are performing.

Grabilla offers you the possibility to capture static images, but also provides support for creating animated GIFs. After grabbing the screen, the app allows you to add text annotations, to draw lines, or to include arrows. This way, you can make sure your point of view is clearly expressed.   Note that to be able to make use of the Grabilla image server, you must start by signing up using your Facebook, G+, Twitter, Yahoo, or LinkedIn accounts. The images can be uploaded only when associated to an account, so this is imperative to be able to share them with others.

Grabilla is a great tool to have around if you want to be able to share screenshots, or animated GIFs with others without too much trouble: the app includes tools for grabbing and editing the images, while also providing quick access to the Grabilla image server. The somehow outdated design of some of its panels can be a drawback for most users, but all in all, the app is able to get the job done.
