vzaar.com is an online video hosting service that supports video streaming, embedding, sharing and video storage. Users need to pay a monthly fee in order to take advantage of the provided services. However, vzaar.com offers a 30 day trial and a 5 GB playback bandwidth.

Thanks to vzaar you can easily and rapidly batch upload files and manage your vzaar content directly from your Mac’s desktop. You can rename, delete or update your video descriptions and preview videos from within the app.

By accessing vzaar’s status bar menu, you can display the dektop uploader, upload a video and view the status of the currently uploaded videos. You can view the list with all completed or canceled videos and even cancel the upload process of a video.

The best thing about vzaar is that offers support for multiple vzaar.com accounts and allows you to individually manage them. From My Videos tab, you can view a list with all your uploaded videos, check their title, status, size, duration, description, play count and upload date. You can even access the vzaar.com page of the selected video.

The Uploads tab helps you check and monitor all your current uploads and add new videos to the upload queue. In the Upload Setup window you can type in the title and description of the video and choose the desired size.Thanks to the Preferences window you can choose when the status bar icon should be displayed and set the default size of the uploaded files.

Unfortunately, vzaar looks good only on paper since it failed to upload most of our videos and crashed repeatedly during the testing period. The performance of the application seems to vary according to your Mac's resources and the speed of your Internet connection.

In short, although vzaar is a simple to use application that promises to help you batch upload videos to the vzaar.com website, it fails to live up to its promise. We hope that all its problems will be fixed in future updates in order for vzaar to become a proper desktop uploader.
