iVGA for Mac
The iVGA application is a slim and free-to-use iVGA client which enables you to access video sources via a TriCaster production switcher connected to your network.
Moreover, TriCaster is a line of portable professional hardware systems for live recording, streaming and broadcasting.
The iVGA utility merely allows one to operate your Mac’s screen and control the live video input of your camera. Your screen can be both static or in motion. Moreover, iVGA does not do anything else besides allowing the TriCaster operator to switch your screen.
iVGA's main user interface consists of a minimalistic window where you can view the VGA Status. It tells you if iVGA is “ready and listening” and which mode has been activated.
Furthermore, iVGA provides several running modes, shortcuts for accessing the 2 monitors and an option to hide the mouse. The modes include Normal, Privacy and Keynote.
What’s more, all these options can be accessed via the only menu of the app, called “Control”. What’s more, the right-click menu of the Dock icon also allows access to the options.
Besides accessing these options with your mouse, you can also use quick keyboard shortcuts, such as CMD + N, CMD + P and CMD + K to access the modes, CMD + 1 and CMD + 2 to switch between the first and second monitors and CMD + M to hide / show the mouse.
