iSquint for Mac
We all like to watch TV series, music video clips or home made videos in our free time. We also like to have them with us on our iPod and show them to our friends and family. This process might be difficult and frustrating especially if you don't use iSquint.
iSquint is a straightforward OS X application that enables you to quickly and easily convert all videos you want to play on your iPod.
In order to install iSquint you just have to download the small DMG image, mount it and copy the app in your Mac's Applications folder. After coping iSquint you will lose only 11.4 MB of your hard disk space.
iSquint features a user-friendly interface that allows you to add the files you need to convert and set the output directory.
You also can choose to optimize the conversion process for iPod or TV and even use H.264 Encoding for higher quality.
By enabling iSquint's Add to iTunes feature, all converted videos will be automatically added to your iTunes library. This option makes the conversion and transfer process even more easier for you.
The image quality can be easily adjusted by moving the "Quality" slider, however more advanced users might want to open the Advanced slide panel. From here you will be able to crop the video, set the bitrate, framerate, height and width.
Moreover, iSquint comes with support for almost all popular video formats and is also free.
Unfortunately, iSquint will display nag screens every time you launch the app and every time you finish a conversion.
Another thing that might set you off is the fact that you have to try different audio and video quality settings in order to obtain the result you are looking for.
All in all, iSquint is an easy-to-use and free utility that will help you to quickly and easily convert videos to the iPod compatible format and save them in the iTunes library.
