Streamlined iTunes media importer that can be used right out of the boxThe VideoDrive main window is represented by a minimalist panel where you can easily adjust the import settings and quickly launch the process. In addition, in the Console tab of the window, you get to visualize how many files have been handled, but also the generated errors.
Right off the bat, you must select the import type: create media links, create reference files, copy videos, convert to iTunes / Apple TV and iPad / iPhone / iPod videos, or add all items directly to iTunes.
Effortlessly add descriptions to your video files by downloading the metadata from online sourcesTo avoid creating an incomplete media library, when importing, VideoDrive can search for detailed video descriptions online: the information is added to the video file automatically, including the cover art image. However, VideoDrive also provides a metadata editor where you can attach all this information manually.
Further customization options are included in the VideoDrive Settings window, where you can choose to add the newly imported files to a separate playlist, to provide details about the devices you own so that the app will automatically optimize the video for each specific model, and much more.
Capable video importer that sends video files to your iTunes library and optimizes them for various devicesVideoDrive is a simple yet capable software solution that can handle most popular video file formats and import them to your iTunes library. Furthermore, the app is able to search and import detailed description from online sources, and even includes a built-in metadata editor.
All in all, if you are looking for a right-out-of-the-box solution for adding videos to your iTunes library in order to be able to sync or share them on other devices, VideoDrive certainly deserves a try.
