Sopcast is a straightforward Streaming Direct Broadcasting System that is entirely based on P2P. The SoP technology is the communication protocol produced by the Sopcast Team and the core of the above mentioned system.

Because of this sharing system inbuilt within SopCast, the audio and video content is constantly shared among viewers, fact that makes every channel permanently available and more stable. At the same time, the buffer time is under 30 seconds and the delay is kept at a minimum levels.

SopCast comes with support for numerous streaming transport protocol and numerous media file types such as ASF, MP3, WMV, RM, RMVB and more.

Moreover, thanks to the app's constant monitoring of broadcasting source quality and network quality, you will always be able to select the appropriate channel. However, not all the channels displayed in the list provide the highest possible image or sound quality.

From SopCast’s main window you can browse through the entire list of channels and choose the one you want to watch. At the same time, you can use the File menu to open a SoP URL and view video streams from different channels.

It would have been quite useful if SopCast featured a built-in search engine to help you filter the displayed channels or find a specific one more easier.

It is also worth mentioning, that the quality of the video and audio stream captured by SopCast can vary according to your Internet connection and location of the source.
