RoadMovie is a no-frills multimedia converter that aims to help novice and experienced users to encode media files, edit their metadata, embed subtitles, manage chapters and create podcasts.

Helps you encode and prepare your multimedia files for your portable devices

From RoadMovie’s user-friendly interface you can easily load the files you need to convert, select the appropriate encoding profile and provide a destination path with just a few clicks of a mouse button.

The provided conversion profiles are organized into multiple groups based on the targeted device.

Thanks to the built-in media player, you can preview the content of your files, add new chapter markers, set a frame as a poster frame and use the current frame as metadata artwork.

The Metadata tab on the other hand, enables you to check the existing information about the selected file and make the desired changes with ease.

Easily find, download and embed subtitles using a single app

On top of that, RoadMovie is capable to load multiple subtitle files and allows you to embed one of them into your video. In addition, RoadMovie helps you manage existing chapters and helps you create new ones based on the content of the video.

RoadMovie also features a track inspector, metadata fetching abilities, built-in subtitle files search engine with automatic download, unarchive and parsing, as well as full AppleScript support for automated workflows.

Upload media files and share them with your friends and family

Moreover, RoadMovie helps you upload your media to FTP, SFTP or WebDav server as well as to the popular video sharing website, YouTube. Furthermore, RoadMovie provides the required tools to create and publish video podcasts with ease.

By accessing the Preferences window, you can set the default encoding profile and output path, change the default subtitle language along with the font size, color and style, select the online sources for your subtitles, and activate or deactivate encodings.
