MKV2M4V for Mac1.3.2
MKV2M4V is an intuitive and easy-to-use Matroska (MKV) to M4V / MP4 converter for the Mac OS X platform. It works by converting only the audio in the source file because it just copies the video during the conversion.
Because of this, MKV2M4V preserves the same quality of the original file. In addition, MKV2M4V can decode FLAC codecs and insert closed captions into SRT files.
The main window of MKV2M4V features a pane for viewing the files you’ve added, and a main pane for configuring the parameters of the conversion.
The upper toolbar provides two buttons to add new media files or remove them from the list, to add items to the queue, start the conversion or access the app’s log.
A multitude of file types can be opened with MKV2M4V, including avi, ts, tp, trp, wmv, rmvb, mp4, m4v, mov, mts and m2ts. In addition, if you open a folder that includes BDMV, the application will display the m2ts files instead.
The options included in the conversion pane allow you to choose the audio preset: for a Mac, for an iOS device, for Apple TV or custom.
Furthermore, the custom options allow you to choose the Audio A (Pass-through, ALAC, AAC or AC3) and Audio B (none, AAC 160 bps or AAC 320 bps) values.
Other options include closed caption (none, two lines, more lines + margins or more lines) and the ability to choose the output folder. Users can also toggle an option to set tracks or chapters, and another one to delete the original files after the conversion.
If you want to preview the audio of the media files, you can do so by clicking on the button on the right of each listed track.
