Clip-MetaView For Mac

Clips created by the ARRI ALEXA cameras embed a lot of metadata information, including ALEXA Look files that will help you preview images on set, while allowing you to preserve all the metadata that defines the overall look in order to be able to access it during post production.

Clip-MetaView is a simple application that offers you the possibility to browse all the metadata included in the ALEXA ProRes Quicktime projects and extract the ALEXA Look files via drag and drop actions.

The Clip-MetaView interface is extremely organized and intuitive: on the right side of the main window you can view the imported clips while on the left you can preview the content and browse the available metadata. On top of the clips area, a search bar with basic capabilities allows you to find specific files.

Clip-MetaView includes a simple media player that has basic commands (play/pause, adjust volume, fast forward/rewind and a time slider bar) and allows you to preview the video within the application. You can also send it to Quicktime by double clicking on the entry name.

The Clip-MetaView metadata panel includes fields that provide general info such as the file name/path, file creation, date added, sound, video coded, file size, datarate, timecode, duration or fps.

The same area displays the ALEXA Look XML file and includes ALEXA specific details: sxs gamma, look burned in, exposure index, while balance, look file active, project fps, sensor fps, reel name, eye index, master/slave, sound reel, fcp UUID, camera model, camera ID, camera index, camera serial number, camera SUP, lens type, lens serial number, unit preference, sxs serial number, date - time, production, director, dop, location name and user info.

To conclude, Clip-MetaView is an extremely easy to use application that is able to quickly import ALEXA ProRes Quicktime files, display their metadata and export the contained ALEXA Look files.
