Setting up reminders is highly advisable when you do not want to forget about specific events or tasks, especially if you have a busy schedule. pingMe is a small Mac utility that is able to process natural language commands and set up alerts in no time.

The pingMe user interaction is reduced to the main window where you can easily input new entries and view the registered alerts in list mode. The help button placed in the bottom right corner of the window offers you details about the language patterns understood by the app.

If pingMe does not comprehend a certain task, you receive a notification: as a result, you must alter the commands to match the pingMe patterns. Note that you have the possibility to sync the data to your iCloud account, so you will receive alerts on all connected devices.

pingMe integrates perfectly with the Apple vetted Notification Center, so each time a new alert comes to term, you will receive a message via this service. Naturally, via the Notifications Preferences Pane, you can to personalize the pingMe alert style, toggle the sound and more.

Note that pingMe also places a small menu in your status bar to help you keep track of the upcoming tasks: the small icon includes a tasks counter, while the menu provides a list of the upcoming events.

pingMe provides a solution for quickly setting up alerts and reminders without having to deal with complex tools or make a countless number of adjustments: the app is able to extract rules from commands given in a natural language, and acts accordingly by sending messages via the Notifications Center.
