TaskNotes is a cute and sophisticated notes application extra designed for ease of use and most important of all - to keep your notes in sync when working with multiple Macs. That's why I am already working on an iPhone companion app…

Sometimes a note is nothing else than a reminder or a todo - so why use two different applications or one of those overengineered GTD apps when your notes app can do that for you?

Of course you can also print, export, import notes or even backup and restore your complete notes library.

And because most of us are already working with the iDisk or Dropbox - there is no need to create another sync-service or to extra long-winded log into one - only to sync notes. You can even use your Time Capsule or a Thumb-Drive to share your notes across multiple Macs…

myNotes interface is designed with one goal in mind - to make it as simple as possible to use and to make it as unobtrusive as possible.

If you're used to work with shortcuts and the Global Hotkey (see Advanced Preferences) you can hide the toolbar to have more space and less clutter and completely operate the application without mouse or trackpad (see Shortcuts) - just by using the keyboard…

myNotes is designed for speed and ease of use - thus you have multiple options to create new notes - just use the one that best fits your workflow.

Sometimes one want to create a new note in a blink from a copied text (from a mail or webpage for example). With myNotes that's a piece of cake.

Main goal of having notes is to fast find them when needed.
That's why myNotes will always start with selected search field - thus you can directly start to type a search term.

myNotes will automatically select notes based on your search and you can easily navigate thru your notes with shortcuts.

Every note can have an individual due date. If needed myNotes can run in background and show an alarm for notes with due date.

If you own more than one Mac and want to keep your notes on different machines in sync you can do so by enabling the sync feature in the Preferences.

Please choose your custom location (folder) for the sync data on your hard drive, an external drive, your iDisk, your Dropbox or even on a thumb drive. But please ensure that this folder is always mounted, accessible and writable when you start myNotes. When you choose to store your sync data on your iDisk - please enable the "iDisk Sync" in your System Preferences.

NOTE: To buy TaskNotes via the AppStore an Apple account is required.
