iScheduleTimeMachine for Mac
If you are using the Time Machine technology to backup your important data to an external drive, the lack of scheduling options can prove to be frustrating. iScheduleTimeMachine is a status bar menu app that enables you to take control over the entire process.
Unobtrusive controller for Time Machine backups
The iScheduleTimeMachine app resides on your status bar and, after the initial set up, rarely requires your attention. The menu provides details about the current Time Machine status, the last backup initiated, and the date and time for the next backup.
The same area allows you to open the Time Machine volume, to manually start the backup process or to access the iScheduleTimeMachine Preferences (here you get to customize the backup schedule).
Set up your own Time Machine backup schedule in no time
To make sure that the iScheduleTimeMachine rules will be applied, you must disable the Time Machine function in the System Settings window. However, you must provide the path to the backup external drive or AirPort Rime Capsule beforehand.
The next step is to create your own rules via the iScheduleTimeMachine Preferences. iScheduleTimeMachine can automatically start a backup after a certain number of minutes, hours, days, or after a week.
You can also opt to launch a backup if the computer has been idle for a certain number of minutes. In addition, iScheduleTimeMachine enables you to schedule backups at certain times during the day.
Intuitive and user friendly solution for managing the Time Machine backup process
iScheduleTimeMachine proposes simple solutions for taking control over the Time Machine backup process. The app allows you to trigger the process manually, but generally takes care of everything automatically: as soon as you create a schedule, iScheduleTimeMachine starts the timers and triggers the backups on its own.
