iMango Tree Find is a free and easy-to-use OS X application that helps you quickly find files by name or extension in a specified location. The advantage is that it can instantly display all search results in a tree view. It enables you to quickly open detected files with a double click.

If you are unfamiliar with the app, it might take a while to get used with it. However, once you get acquainted with all the functions, you might consider them quite handy. Searching for files can be done in 2 ways: one is by typing file names (e.g. filename*) or file extensions (e.g *mp3) and the other is by dragging and dropping files onto the main window.

After dropping a file on iMango Tree Find, it will instantly display all files with the same extension contained in the file’s folder and its subfolders. The result is displayed as a tree, which helps you track down each file with ease. You can also open files (as mentioned previously), as well as folders by Shift clicking them.
