iCloudStatus For Mac

The Apple iCloud service allows you to seamlessly synchronize data between all your OS X or iOS devices with minimal effort. On your Mac, within the System Preferences window, you can choose to sync your Photos, Mail, Contacts, Reminders, and so on.

At the same time, the iCloud Drive app allows you to transfer any file, by dragging and dropping them into a particular folder. iCloudStatus is a small Mac app that monitors the iCloud Drive volume and allows you to see the status of your transfers in real time.

By default, you get to access this information by navigating to the iCloud Drive folder and glancing at the status icon associated with each file. iCloudStatus simplifies the process by putting the information on your status bar.

Upon launch, the iCloudStatus menulet is added to your status bar and a small icon provides details about the iCloud Drive activity. The iCloudStatus panel is organized into multiple tabs, where you can see the list of currently transferred files, the history logs, or access the app’s preferences.

iCloudStatus comes with a couple of customization options: you get to change the status bar icon size, or to switch between the progress wheel and arrow designs for depicting the transfer state.

You can change the data pooling mode and the iCloud Drive folder you want to monitor. Lastly, you get to toggle the system notifications and to define limits for the history logs (the info is cleared when the log files reach a certain size).

iCloudStatus aims at simplifying the tracking procedure when it comes to iCloud Drive transfers. Instead of navigating to the respective file and manually checking each file, the app gathers all this data in a status bar menulet, and you get to see the statistics in real time, with minimal effort.
