ePub Packager For Mac

ePub Packager is a very simple Mac OS X application that is capable of unpacking and packing the popular ePub and iBooks file formats. The app was created because the contents of these types of formats cannot be inspected without a special software and to allow you to make necessary modifications to internal files.

The utility features a minimalistic drag’n’drop user interface to which you can just drop your ePub or iBooks documents. An alternative way to open your files with ePub Packager is to use the “Open” button from the upper toolbar or just the basic CMD + O shortcut.

After opening the supported file, you can use 2 extra options, one for validating and the other for overwriting the original files. What’s more, you can open the ebook’s contents in the Finder, clear the log, clear the cache and choose the output folder directly from the main window.

While ePub Packager opens up and re-packages your ePub or iBooks file, it displays the current progress, such as validating status, unpacked file’s location, setting file permissions and whether the process was completed successfully.

Taking everything into consideration, ePub Packager is nothing more than a simple ePub / iBooks extractor and packager. It makes it easy to edit internal folders from these types of ebooks and stitch them back when you have applied the changes. Another great benefit is the sheer ease of use.
