However, there is a chance that your bank is using a file format that is not compatible with your finances manager. csv2qbo Convert is a small OS X utility that can help you if your bank statements come in CSV format, and you are using the QuickBooks app.

To help you get started, csv2qbo Convert displays detailed usage instructions in its main window. Right off the bat, you must open the Settings panel and input the type of account you are using and your QuickBooks FID. The app also includes the list of financial institutions supported by QuickBooks to help you identify the FID code faster.

In the same panel, you can also change the default currency, the bank routing number, the date format, or the signs that should be used for charges and payments. Moreover, you can provide your account number in QuickBooks.

csv2qbo Convert is using the Finder menu to import the CSV files that will be processed, but also gives you the possibility to preview their content before actually converting them to the QBO format. This way, you can easily make sure you have the right file.
