XL Share Board For Mac

XL Share Board is a minimalist application designed to help you transfer the clipboard content, but also files and folders between multiple workstations connected to your LAN.

Since XL Share Board also comes with a desktop client for the Windows running machines, you get to transfer data between computers that use different operating systems.

To start working with the XL Share Board application, all you have to do is launch the utility on all the workstations you want to connect. XL Share Board will automatically start monitoring your clipboard and syncs the content to all the clients running in your network.

However, in the XL Share Board Preferences window you get to customize the name of the broadcast group, or you can bind the app to a certain interface.

The same area allows you to adjust the refresh time interval, to specify the maximum number of entries that will be preserved, to activate an encryption key, and so on.

Noteworthy is that XL Share Board automatically syncs only the text content, even if you can add to the monitoring list both files and folders. The latter will be included in the list on all clients, but to complete the transfer you must manually trigger the download process.

During our test, XL Share Board was able to handle small files, but we encountered an error message when trying to download a large folder (14GB) containing numerous files (around 1600).

To conclude, XL Share Board proposes a user-friendly workflow and allows you to transfer data between multiple computers connected to your network, no matter if they run on OS X or Windows.

Moreover, XL Share Board does not use third party cloud storage servers to make the transfer possible, so all the data remains safe, on your own devices.
