Whoopee is especially suited for those who wish to send files between devices that are being used in the same home or office. As long as you have installed the application on all your devices, they are detected as soon as they connect to the network, enabling you to send and receive content.

The app is available for iOS and Android devices, as well as Windows PCs.

Whoopee has a very straightforward layout and features an interface that, while not particularly impressive, is simple to work with. It is very reminiscent of a mobile app, with a main panel that lists all your contacts and a collapsable one that lists all the transfers.

When you have received a file from one of your other devices, the app displays a preview, and you can choose whether to accept or decline it.

Whoopee logs the time and date when a transfer has taken place, and you can click on a file’s icon or thumbnail to open it in the default application.

It would be great if the application could be used from your Mac’s menu bar, as it would free up screen space and make it much easier to transfer files without having to bring up the main window that, unfortunately, cannot be resized.

The app does not display notifications when a new item has been received.

Whoopee is a straightforward utility aimed at those who wish to transfer files easily between devices connected to a local Wi-Fi network. It does, however, lack some potentially useful functions.
