Are you a heavy sleeper who has problems getting up in the morning? Are you one of those people who hate alarm clocks with a passion? Are you the type of person who starts every morning with a favorite track to make each day feel like the best day ever?

If you're one of the above, then Wakefy is the macOS application you've always wanted: a simple to configure little utility which makes use of Spotify to make sure that you get up on time every morning, with your favorite tunes playing out of your Mac's speakers.

Moreover, when using Wakefy as your virtual alarm clock you'll have to get out of bed to turn it off, thus getting fully awake in no time and you'll also be able to set up your morning mood right before going to bed by picking the perfect morning Spotify playlist.

If you don't want to start hating the song you pick as a morning alarm, you can set a playlist to be used as the alarm ringtone thus making sure that every morning you'll wake up to a different tune you like. As a bonus, this will enable you to avoid getting used to your morning alarm tune, thus making it easier to wake up quicker.

Wakefy will also make sure that your alarm is always set up for waking up in the morning, even if you fall asleep while watching a movie late in the night and you didn't get to set an alarm using your phone.

Wakefy needs the Spotify official app and an active Internet connection to wake you up, and you should also disconnect your headphones as the sound won't be loud enough to get you up and going unless it plays through your Mac's speakers.

Also, Wakefy can wake you up when your Mac is put to sleep, but it needs you to enable automatic login if you want to use it as your alarm clock when you turn off your computer altogether. This happens because of macOS' default security configuration where apps won't be allowed to run if no user is logged in.

Wakefy comes with a minimalist and comfortable on the eyes dark-themed design, and it lives in your Mac's status bar, always one click away but never in your way when you need to get things done.

Setting an alarm time is just a matter of clicking the digital clock face in Wakefy's interface and using the drop-down menus to set the wake-up time. You can also quickly pick the song or playlist you want to wake up to with the help of the search field at the bottom of the app's main screen.

In a nutshell, if you need a completely free app to help you wake up in the morning using all your favorite Spotify tunes, then Wakefy is definitely the perfect app for the task.
