Sometimes your status bar is just too cluttered to make room for the system clock or you feel that your desktop aesthetics will be better off with a personalized clock. UBClock is a simple application that comes handy in these cases.

UBClock will place a clock window on you desktop and a small icon in your status bar that provides quick access to the app’s Preferences window. This area is important because it contains all the customization options.

The UBClock Preferences window is organized in 4 tabs: General, Display, Tuning and Colors. From the first tab you can adjust the clock size, specify the window mode (movable, locked on desktop or locked on top) and the clock style (natural or LED).

Additional options include the possibility to disable the status bar icon and being able to change the clock theme: linear engine, balance spring, pulse engine, alternative and railway style.

The Display tab offers you the possibility to adjust the window opacity, the way you see the date or the seconds viewing mode. At the same time, you can quickly toggle certain functions by unchecking their respective boxes.

The Tunning panel allows you to adjust the shadows for the seconds, minutes and hours fingers, but also the LCD shadows. In the Colors tab you can modify the color palette for both the natural and LED clock styles.
