Typewriter Keyboard for Mac7.0
Classic typewriter sounds can help you recreate the feeling of actually using a mechanical typewriter in order to focus on the task at hand. Typewriter Keyboard is a minimalist status bar menu application that allows you to assign various sound effects to your keys in no time.
Even though the sound effects generated by Typewriter Keyboard app will be triggered system wide, the application will stay out of your way at all times, while remaining easily accessible.
At launch, Typewriter Keyboard will place a small icon in your status bar, so if you want to customize its behavior simply access the Preferences window through this menu.
Large sounds collection
The Typewriter Keyboard software package, besides the Typewriter Keyboard application, also contains a collection of sounds that can be associated with your keys. For start, the compilation contains the original typewriter sounds (normal key, enter key, and space key).
Moreover, the package includes the Arthur (33 items), Pascal (19 items), and Robert (6 items) sound sets. You will be able to assign to your keys any of the included audio effects.
Use your own audio files
Via the Typewriter Keyboard Preferences window you can adjust the sound effects volume or mute them altogether. At the same time, you have the possibility to assign your own audio files to any key: choose the audio file and then press the keys that should trigger the effect.
You cannot see the assigned keys as you press them, so you must be careful which ones you use. If you make a mistake, you will simply have to start over. However, if you are not satisfied with the results, you can easily go back to the original effects through a mouse click.
Quickly assign sound effects to your keyboard
Typewriter Keyboard is a small yet enjoyable application that allows you to swiftly assign a sound effect to any keyboard key: you can use the classic typewriter sound effects, or you can have fun using your own audio files.
