TypeIt4Me alleviates this issue by automatically substituting various abbreviations for longer words or phrases, saving you the trouble of typing them fully. You can create your own abbreviation dictionary, sync it, run Applescripts, and even use autocorrect to reduce typos.

The app's main function is fairly straightforward. Once you type an abbreviation defined in the preferences, it will be replaced with a longer snippet as soon as you press Space, Tab, or any other configured trigger. You can specify which apps the feature should be active in, and even set up different behaviors for each application.

You will need to create your own set(s) of abbreviations, depending on what you normally write. These sets can be synchronized via iCloud or another cloud service, should you wish to use them on multiple Macs or even the iOS app.

The interface has a simple, clear layout, and you can always check the menu bar for a list of all abbreviations available in a set if you can't remember them.
