Timer Bomb For Mac

Timer Boom is a simple cartoon styled countdown timer for OS X that provides noisy alerts at the end of a timer. The application supports alarms of maximum 12 hours and comes with 2 notification sounds. Moreover, it is able to stop or start iTunes at the end of the timer, as well as to put your computer to sleep or shut it down.

This way, Timer Boom can be regarded as a practical tool to automatically close iTunes or your Mac after an exact period of time. This can come in handy when sleeping with the music open during the night or when you want to close your Mac after something a task is complete.

Hours, minutes and seconds can be easily set using the up and down arrows in the user interface. After everything is set, you can click on the “Set Timer” button to begin. An additional option, which is there for entertainment purposes, is to show a bomb timer that is tied up to a traumatized victim. When the bomb goes off,  the face of the victim will be splashed on the screen.

Timer Boom also includes a robot voice that speaks the last 10 seconds of a countdown. This option and the alarm victim can both be toggled via the settings (Timer Actions) window.

Needless to say, countdown applications such as Timer Boom are sometimes really useful. The app might need a new user interface, because this one seems too childish and unpolished. However, it is extremely easy to use and is definitely worth the money if you need a tool to automatically close iTunes or your Mac.
