Ties are not the most casual clothing item but learning how to properly fasten them can come in very handy. TieCam is a small application that uses your built-in camera to show you how to make different types of knots.

The TieCam application comes with a modern and intuitive interface: in the main window you can view the knots list and a short description for each one. Take into account that the models can also be sorted by category: classic and advanced.

When you select a certain knot version, TieCam launches the tutorial window and you can choose how you want to control the sub-steps display: manually, via noise recognition (you can adjust the noise level) or with a timer.

Simply press the Start button and the application will show you what to do step by step: all you have to do is imitate the movements. Using noise recognition method to move along the tutorial is best because this way you will have both hands free while being able to take all the time you need.

The best part is that you will be able to view your own reflection in the TieCam window: this way you can make sure you adopt the correct position for reaching the best result.

TieCam allows you to practice fastening the following knots designs: Windsor, Half Windsor, Pratt, Four in Hand, Small Knot, Cavendish, Balthus, Victoria, Plattsburgh, Saint Andrew and Kent.

TieCam can help you learn how to tie a bow tie, a Grantchester or a Hanover Knot. However, these tutorials are available only through separate in-app purchases.
